Well that's why many of the grommet tanks out there come with a little hole for filling. The hole is closed with a thumb screw. See the Submarine at momandpopsvaporshop and the M1A1 at notcigs for example. I didn't have too much trouble just using the syringe for filling. I didn't try the 12ml...
Those using grommets such as the Submarine from Tanks - Mom and Pop Vapor Shop are pretty solid and don't slip on the cartomizer. Another popular grommet tank is the Chibi.
The tubing sounds good. The grommets should be 5/8" OD to fit the ID of the tubing. I don't think the 3/4" OD will fit. (These grommets are pushed into the inside of the tube so you need the same diameter as the ID of the tube.) The right size for the grommets are: 5/16 ID (bore size) 5/8 OD...
To the best of my knowledge the Chibi uses the vinyl grommets that were discussed earlier, so does the m1a1 from notcigs and the submarine from momandpop. The idea originally came out in a thread somewhere else and I'm pretty sure Vermonster13 was the one that came up with the idea of using...
Yes its the o-ring dimension, hence o-rings of 7/16 id 5/8 od. The reason they refer to that is because they're really meant for feeding wire through a panel. 7/16 would be the hole in the panel that the grommet would pop into. Someone (I think Vermonster13) just realized that they work for...
I find that the grommets are much tighter once the carto is in the middle. Try it you'll see what I mean. I also use o-rings in the indendation of the grommets, 7/16 id 5/8 od are the right size for the o-rings.
For anyone interested in trying grommets make sure you get vinyl not rubber...
If the grommets are rubber the taste of that will get in your juice. I'm speaking from experience (tasted like vaping tires). Vinyl grommets are much better. Radio shack sells a 31 pack of assorted vinyl grommets for $2.29, it includes 7 in the right size. Or you can order a 50 pack from Amazon...
I have one that's working well (for a week+ now). The button sticking shouldn't be a disaster because it has a cutoff of about 10 seconds. I did notice one oddity: as the batteries run down when I hit the button it won't fire only blink and immediately after it will fire again when I hit the...
Bump. I'm looking for the same thing. Delrin whistle non-drip tip. I don't mind black but I'm looking for something inexpensive. Like the tips that come with 901 atomizers just more durable...
Just a public thank you to Ron for quick shipping and excellent customer service. Ordered 2 juicers, one for me one for a friend, so far no leaks! There's a learning curve but once you get it it's great! The price can't be beat and Ron stands behind his work. If there's a problem he'll go above...
