I search google news regularly for ecig stories and look at every injury accident story that appears. A hard rule about those stories is never ever give information that would be useful for safety. But a pattern emerges after a while. Nearly all the injuries I see reported seem to involve lose
batteries with unprotected terminals or mech
mods. Take away the stories with those to factors and there are very few stories. It would be appropriate for the Consumer Product Safety Commission to comment about those risks but they don't as far as I'm aware. The guy in that article was probably using a mech
mod but why didn't the reporter ask him about his accident? The answer to that is, because the purpose of the article was to scare people, not inform them.
