1. My friend is paying $12 for parking in Myrtle Beach, outside Jimmy Buffett's "Skywheel", an impressive ferris wheel that costs an arm & a leg to ride, sometimes literally! I wander to the side, grateful that my ATM card rests comfortably concealed in my wallet. It'll get its exercise soon enough here in the holy land of rip-offs. I see a familiar sight, a 20-year-old (or so) young man is toking on a diamond capped electronic cigarette. I walk up with my X2 + CE3 & say, "What you got there?" It's a 78mm battery with an X2 clearomizer made by, you guessed it, Smokeless Image! I refer to this setup as "Vapenstein" due to the mismatched proportion of small battery & large clearomizer. "He's obsessed with them, has about 4 more in the room," says his friend. I say, "me too, me too."

-------

It strikes me as a major coincidence that, other than mine, the only other e-cig I see in Myrtle Beach is also a VOLT.

#4 My best vaping story of the summer was when I recruited my friend Laura! I invited her to a vape meet and we met up there, I had brought her a few things to start her off and juice too and had her sampling lots of juice. It was funny how fast she caught on to it and how quickly she went through those newbie stages of vaping, all in just a few hours. One minute she was saying she wanted some cig style batteries, the next she is looking at mods at the vendor tables and buying a lambo!! lol. She learned how to fill cartos, drip in an atty AND use stardusts all in one night, and went home with a ton of vaping supplies and juice!

1. Instead of a rainy night in Georgia, it was a muggy day in Louisiana. We had taken the weekend for a short roadtrip and I needed to pick up some ice and snack food. I parked in the large black asphalt parking lot of Sam's Club. Starting the half mile trek to the entrance, I put my e-cig in my pocket. When I finally entered the store, I was dripping wet and about to faint from the heat that was well over 100 F. I made my rounds down the isles trying to finish in a hurry, just wanting out of what I call the "zoo". It was getting late and my last stop was over by the pharmacy section for the protein bars. Not thinking, I pulled my e-cig out of my pocket and took a long satisfying draw. Just as I was about to exhale I heard someone right behind me clear their throat. My first reaction was, "OMG, I am fixing to be publicly kicked out of Sam's Club!."
Turning slowly, sure my face was green and looking like I had just toked a joint, I saw a lady and gentleman behind me smiling. They excused themselves for bothering me and wanted to know if what I held in my hand was one of those things that you "smoke instead of cigarettes". Trying to inconspicuously catch my breath, I showed them my raspberry X2 manual Volt with the clear cleromizer. They were very curious and excited. We must have spent about 15 minutes talking. I felt like a mad scientist trying to explain all about throat hit and e-liquids and equipment. By the time I was finished, there were 5 Sam's employees along with 4 customers all asking questions. I ended up giving the email address for Smokeless Image and the ECF forum to all of them. I had writer's cramp. The most exciting thing for me was knowing that I might have helped any one of those people to stop smoking and improve their lives. :)

now that is funny :) BTW Sam's and Walmart have a ban on using pv's in store which just makes it even better

Hey mogium,
LOL Well as exciting as it was to tell those folks about vaping and e-cigs, I have managed not to do that again. I could just see someone taking a pic of me with my e-cig on their iPhone and posting it to the "People of Walmart" website stating I was using some drug paraphernalia. As large as the vaping phenomenon is, there are still a lot of people uneducated about it. And of course I couldn't just be using my 78mm with a cart so it looked more like an e-cig.

#2 Remember me on the riding cart vaping in Walmart? Lol. I didn't even think about it. Glacierbabe was looking at something and while I was waiting I pulled out my 1300 X2 with a clearomizer on it and started vaping!
