#3 Spring is taking a book outside to read then getting lost in the experience. The sun warms your skin while a soft wind blows across it. The noise of the branches in the breeze and the birds singing is a sure sign spring is here. The colors popping up all over and the smell of the fresh grass is a great change from the blah of winter. The cows calling to their babies and the kittens rolling around in the yard are a reminder of the renewed life of spring.
The BEST sign of spring is the start of garage sale season. It is the best because that is the one time a year that my sister, Lauralie, her daughter and I spend a day together, just the 3 of us. The 3 of us go to the HUGE Georgetown garage sale and just wander around. We wander up and down all the hills, eat at the food tents, maybe actually buy something, and fuss because we are so out of shape. But it is just the 3 of us against the world. That is the best part of spring for me, even the best part of the year.
