One the bright side (maaan! It took forever to come up with one!) - there will probably be a lot of morels coming up in the Spring under the dead poplars. That'll have to do for making lemonaid outta lemons. It's the best I've got!

Aha, I'm going to have to call you the mushroom lady.

I love mushrooms, but I don't pick them in the woods. I don't know how to tell the good ones from the bad ones.

It's not hard to learn, but best to learn it from someone that is experienced. Also best if that person doesn't have a grudge against you.

I only saw a mushroom picker once in my life. That person was very protective of the spot that they got their mushrooms from and wouldn't tell me anything about how to pick them. A very unfriendly character.

That's ok, Raven. I just won't pick the ones that have this mark on them.
