This is kinda funny cause I'm sure my dad we'll never see this, but...

My dad is one of the most short-tempered & easy to anger people I've ever met. He gets so angry at little things & just goes off, which can be really irritating & frankly, uncomfortable to be around.
But he's also among the kindest, most generous, smartest, & genuine people I've ever known.
He gets super angry so quickly, but it's always about the little things. If you ever have a big problem in life, though, he's there for you, cool-headed & ready to help you work through it.

I had a serious addiction to opioids for many years (3 years of sobriety next week!), & he was there for me through it all, well after anyone in their right mind had reason to give up on me. I am alive to sit & write this, in no small part because of him.

I could keep going, but I feel like I'm beginning a eulogy for him, & I'm not ready to lose him yet. Or ever.

Love you Dad! :)

Unfortunately my dad has passed when I was a little kid, never really knew him since I was just 2 years old. But what I can say is that its always really nice to hear that I look just like my dad :)
I want him to know that even I never knew him that I love him :)!

When I was in high school my dad had to pick me up after school and we'd drive about half an hour on the interstate. We spent the time singing. We would sing the billboards, songs from musicals and songs from the 20s through the 60s. Then when we got on city streets we'd sing the street names. We're very close. To this day my dad says we grew up together and it always makes me smile. We also say to each other that Love is the answer. So I'd say " Dad, we grew up together and Love is the answer" because that says it all between us.
I don't have a picture of the two of us but here's a picture of my 88 year old dad with my 88 year old mom.

My dad is one of the kindest person I know. But that’s the problem. He’s too kind and above all he flees from conflict. That lead our family to major issues that I will not talk about here. But it’s been hard not to resent him. I now speak to him like 3 or 4 times a year. We all say each other that everything’s fine in our lives when we both know (well I do) that not everything is fine. But it makes him feel better to think there are no problems.
I would like to tell him to face things because all of this is boiling and will blow up one day but I never have the strength to tell him. So we just pretend.
Well I’ll stop here, I don’t wanna feel depressed tonight

I don’t have a separate story. The whole life is a story.
I want to say thank you to my father for having taught me a lot, he has perfectly prepared me for adult life. I worked as a carpenter, made windows and furniture for the house, then everything changed and I became a construction engineer, I work in computer programs. I could not change my profession so easily if my father had not helped.
I do not live with my parents, I have my own family, but I try to come to visit every weekend. I help dad to quit smoking with the help of vaping, and we succeed!
I am very fortunate to have such a kind, very intelligent and educated father.
My father is an etalon for me, and I become an etalon for my little son.

Well, here is a kind of story.. First of all I'm very grateful to my father Alex for all he's done for me, for all time and efforts he spent to raise me. Althou I haven't followed his footsteps (in career etc.) he's tought me a lot. Another thing to thank him - my passion for travels. When I was a kid my father often took me with him on a business trips (sometimes it was me with my mom, sometimes only me) so this is how I was able to see the world. After many years I try to travel as much as I can, so it is a kind of obsession.. a good obsession as my wife says)
I try to visit my dad (and my mom of course) as often as possible. This year Father's Day hits the same date as my birthday date, so I think this is a good idea to combine two celebrations in one)

Unfortunately, I do not have a father - he died when I was 5 years old. I did not know him at all, but memories were deposited in my memory. And they are good. I remember my dad riding me on a "Sunrise" motorcycle.
As he bought me green bananas, but I could not wait until they turned yellow and ate them green. :) I think that if he was alive, that would be a good dad.
