0.06 ohm coil

Does anyone know what gauge a coil would have to be to get .006 with 5 or 6 wraps
Im not using this coil in anything its way way to low, Im just wondering
Ive heard of some people using a .008 ohm coil that's crazy low tho.

Check out Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators and play with some variables (specifically coil diameter) to find out. Otherwise, good luck finding a meter accurate enough to .001 ohms.

I have 3 foot long copper jumper wires with alligator clips that ohm out at about 1 ohm.

hahaha thats stupid low. i've seen a few guys on instagram run a build that low at .06ohms. its possible if your using a very well made dual 26650 parallel box with at least one mosfet, preferably two. but thats just asking for trouble running that low lol

judging from my meters on the rdna and the sig75 - i'm getting around 0.06ohms with 28 gauge nickel wire 11 wraps separated for each coil - 2.4mm mandrel - i'm doing dual coil tc builds - it works... but then again i'm not a doctor so please proceed with caution
make sure your batteries are up to par etc etc...

When the snow old came out with the ability to fire to .05, a 6 wrap 18g 1/8th did the trick, .07, put the snow wolf in "too hot mode" after a few pulses..... Completely not recommended at all

.6 ohms would be the lowest recommended resistance.

.06 ohms would pull 228 watts at 61 amps from a 3.7v battery voltage. Good luck powering that in a hand held mod.

Do it at .6 ohms and you get 22 watts, 6 amps, at 3.7v. Much safer. Didn't you mean .6 ohms?

I'll just assume you are building with nickle or Ti...... At least for a TC device............. Cause .08 is too low for regular regulation and just stupid on NON regulated.

Yes is was stupid, even for a regulated device, just seeing if it was capable of pulling the stated specs. Again it was, but the ramp up and heat was absurd, again highly do not reccomend anything lower than 20g

A resistance of .06 isn't too far off a typical ni build for tc use. Most TC mods have a min resistance of .05 ohm, though so it will always be close from shutting off your mod by activating short protection.

If you are trying to fire that on a mech.... Consider yourself warned.
