Hi all, just a quick question, Mod: smok X CUBE Ultra 220w ~ RDA : Mutation Xs ~ Build : Clapton 2 Wraps Dual ~ 0.13ohm (Ran Out of Wires) [sigh]

Question : This rda has top and bottom airflow...so after opening both top and bottom felt like vaping air...increased to 130 and now a bit feeling like vaping...I think 150watts can give me a dense vape?

The reason for opening up top airflow, just with bottom it gets heated...so my basic question is...am I overdoing it? I mean I'm still protected from a blast or something right if I go upto 150 watts?

PS : Mod is not hot...Please lemmi know! I'm scared of that video where that man broke 7 teethes from mod blast...have you seen it?

What batteries are you using? 25A CDR ones minimum for such power. Better 30A.
It likely won't blow your face out but you will only have fun for a short time.

I'm no expert on it, while purchasing they said its LG...just that...it has lebel "LGDBHG21865 P186G042N"

So youre saying not going that high wattage?

It’s true. 2 battery mods can only handle that much wattage for a short time before their batteries run out. Assuming your mod has buck/boost it will do it no matter what batteries you have but effective time will shorten even further. You shouldn’t blow your mod up (knock on wood) but you’re going to go through fistfuls of batteries. One option if it’s a dual coil mod is to remove one coil. This will double your ohm rating and bring your wattage back to something your mod can comfortably handle.

The letters in bold are what is important in identifying this battery. The LG HG2 is a 3000mah 20 amp battery.

You'll hit your battery's wattage ceiling at 60 watts per single battery; 120 watts using two. If you want to vape over 100 watts you're going to have to get higher amp batteries.

In the interests of keeping things simple:

-If you use a good quality 15 amp CDR battery like the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6, then you are good up to 45 watts per battery; 90 watts using two; 135 watts for three batteries.

-If you use a good quality 20 amp CDR battery like the LG HG2 or Samsung 25R then you are good for 60 watts per battery. If using a 2-battery regulated mod, your good for 120 watts as you have two batteries. If you are using a 3-battery mod, you're good for 180.

-If you use a single 25 amp CDR battery like the Sony VTC5A, then you are good for 75 watts per battery, 150 watts for two batteries, and 225 watts with three.

-If you use a single 30 amp CDR battery like the LG HB6 you are good up to 90 watts; with a pair of 30 amp CDR batteries you could safely do 180 watts.

WATTAGE AVAILABLE PER SINGLE BATTERY:

20W-45W:
Samsung 18650 30Q, 3000 mah 15 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC6 3000mAh 15 amp CDR
20W-60W:
LG 18650HG2 3000mah 20 amp CDR
LG 18650HE2 2500 mah 20 amp CDR
Samsung 18650-25R, 2500 mah 20 amp CDR
Sanyo UR18650NSX, 2500 mah 20 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC5, 2600 mah 20 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC4, 2100 mah 23 amp CDR
AW 18650 3000 mah 20 amp CDR
30W - 75W:
LG 18650 HD4 2100 mah 25 amp CDR
LG 18650 HD2 2000 mah 25 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC5A, 2500 mah 25 amp CDR
60W - 90W:
LG18650HB6 1500mah 30 amp CDR
LG18650HB2 1500mAh 30 amp CDR
LG18650HB4 1500mAh 30 amp CDR
Note that the 30 amp batteries have only 1500 mah, so they will not last as long as a 3000 mah battery with only half the capacity. That's the trade off. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Those are LG HG2 batteries they have a 20A CDR, on a SMOK mod with 2.8V cutoff (that's when the mod says the batteries are empty) you can go up to 100W.
They can do (a little) more but they will age quicker and not last very long.

You shouldn't use them at 150W though, that's stretching it and they can get hot, which will age them faster and potentially damage them.

Our mods don't have battery temperature monitoring so we can't stress them too much.

Thanks both of you! Just now got it what "Short time fun means, I better close some airflow and back to 75watts as before, thats okay right?

yah. that should be well within your battery's capacity without hitting up the boost circuit assuming you have high amp batteries. See @Baditude 's chart below to determine what you can handle without boosting.

lost me with "2 wraps"
Holy s:censored: I didn't even pick up on that with all the red flashing warning signs in that post

Asbestos is right, you really don't want to vape that. I get that you ran out of wire but come on, you don't have any wire at all? Not even simple round wire to make a few coils?
Do you even vape, bruh? ;)
