Since my goal was to eventually breathe air I just outta the blue decided to go for it. My original plan was to get some 0mg juice in a month or two and start the tapering off a little. After 40 years of tobacco smoking what's the sudden rush eh?

Anyhow, Monday rolled around and I got caught up in some emergency stuff at work that did not end till late afternoon. I thought , "…hmm no vaping yet, I wonder…" Sure enough made it through that afternoon, into the evening and sailed right through Tuesday (grrrr, that was kinda rough) but then zoomed into today (sorta grrrr. not to bad though). Three days…no vaping, no nicotine!

I wouldn't say quitting nicotine has been easy or hard, more like irritating. My head keeps buzzing. I think my nicotine receptors are constantly yelling "... dude?!" At least if I don't quit nicotine I will have this nice vanilla cloud dancing at the end of a Provari, (okay it's an Inferno) to go back to instead of some nasty cigarette tobacco. Trouble is I like vaping, of course I thought I liked tobacco too, anyhow a lot to think about now.

If someone told me in January I'd go many days without smoking tobacco and several days without nicotine I'd a said they're crazy. Oh well, this forum is great!

Regards,
Ray

Dang! You're on the fast track...are congratulations in order, or ???

Sounds like a good problem to have--I'm sort of "fearing" that one day I will be completely nicotene and habit-free. Not something you're expecting when quitting was never the plan in the first place, right? The idea of what has been a toxic "friend" for 30+ years just going "poof" so easily is pretty disorienting. I feel ya--the choice is yours, I guess. :D

Hello Walking and welcome to the forum! I'm glad you're doing well without nic--quite an achievement!

However, should the cravings become unbearable, reach for a nic ejuice rather than a cig. Nicotine alone is not as bad for you as the Antis are suggesting. It's all that junk that's in cigarette smoke that's deadly.

Good luck and happy vaping.

Well I made it to Saturday, about five or six days and decided to have a vape LOL. Been vapin' ever since, not hard and heavy but it is all good. I figured Nicotine has been a part of me for over 70% of my life. That was the first time since I started smoking tobacco I went five or six days without nicotine, but the best part is sixty something days without tobacco. I'll give the no nicotine thing another go soon but the no tobacco thing is amazing.

Good luck to you. I've gone from 18 to 12mg and hopefully will drop to 6 in the near future. Just giving up the stinkies on the first day was huge for me. If I can get to 0 nic it would be great but if I can't I'll be good with that.

I noticed if I can stay busy with something I don't think about it (nicotine) but if I decide it's time to relax, kick back and say, surf the forums, then I want to relax with a vape, and so I do since it beats the alternative.
