I have been using my 5v GLV with 1.25 dual coli cartos. In a couple days I will be using my new provari and wondering what cartos to use. I want to have on hand whatever I need to make the vaping experience an awesome one.

From what I have read the 1.25 may be too low for the provari. I really like the dual coils but need one that will work great on my provari. Any advice oh wise ones:) I am hoping to vape between 4.5-5.5. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks Jenn

You don't want the 1.25 for the provari won't fire.I find the 2.5ohm dc cartos work dreat on provari at 4.8-5volt on provaris the 2.0 should also work well. The 1.6 dc works some times but some ohm out less then 1.5 then don't work on the vari.No need for lr stuff with vari you have a great vv to adjust out how you want it thats why i prefere higher ohms, also don't drain batteries as fast.

Hi All. New here, but not to Vaping. Currently waiting on new PROVARI order # 10749.
Anyway, following topic on this thread, my order will include 3ohm Cartomizers that I can experiment with voltages up to 6v. My question is about other side of coin.
On the lower end of "ohm'age" and Cartomizers.. I have 1.5ohm Dual Coil cartos with DCT-MAP tank waiting for PROVARI.. Am I gonna run into problem with my new beast NOT firing these up under 4 volt? Again, I'm NOT new to vaping,, but I AM, very much so, at variable voltage. Thankx in advance for any help in learning.

1.5 ohm cartos will work on the Provari, you'll just have to keep it at the low end of voltage range, but I haven't had any troubles when I have used them under 3.7 volts. Just keep in mind that the tolerance on some cartos is pretty loose, so one stated as 1.5 ohm could be a little lower or higher and the ones that fall below 1.5 could give you trouble. I typically use higher ohm cartos in my tanks and pretty much stick with those for my VV devices. I'll still use an LR one if I'm in a pinch, but I try not to. With a higher resistance, not only do you have more room for adjustment to fine-tune your hit, but you also get better battery life since the amp draw on the batteries is lower

With dual coils, I've read more than one hole can cause problems, but I have no firsthand experience there (except the "slotted" cartos I got with one of my tanks, which gave me flooding issues). If I punch them myself I just use one hole. I have Boge cartos with 2 holes and they work just fine, but probably not much different than 1 hole. I guess the purpose of multiple holes would be for more even juice distribution, with a hole on only one side there's potential for the other side to run drier, but performance-wise I haven't really noticed any difference

I use 2 holes on my 2ohm DC's,,, since these run on the hot side and I use a thick juice 2 holes seem to work better for me, same with running the newer Horizontal dual bottom coil cartos from Kanger, 2 holes for sure, these work well in tanks also since both coils are at the bottom , so you can poke 2 holes down very low just above the top of the bottom cap in the carto and your good to go.
