1.5 ohm coils for Kanger Protank Mini II w/ eGo C-twist

Did I screw up? How long can I expect these coils to last on my c-twist, do they have a lower life expectancy than coils with higher ohms, do higher ohm coils generally work better with a c-twist? Need some advice.

I just ordered some 30 gauge a1 kanthal wire so I can rebuild my coils also. How long am I going to be able to use the atomizer before I replace it? (not the coil or the wick, just the part that screws into the base that goes on the c-twist)

Also Im wondering how long my c-twist battery is going to last granted I take good care of it, any tips on how to make it last longer?

ok slow down there the lower resistance just means the coil will heat up quicker and give more throat hit building these coils is very straight forward there are plenty of vids on youtube to get you on the right track the length of time atties last depends on a few factors first darker juices tend to clog them up quicker so for these expect a week lighter juices longer also the more voltage you give it the quicker it will burn out as for when you should replace it you will just know vapor flavor will diminish or you might get a burnt taste as for battery life well over 6 months just remember to get a tissue in the connector to clean out any juice before you charge it hope this helps and happy vaping

the coils life will depend how long and hard you vape, youll know when its time to change because you wont get as good vape out of it or it will start to taste a bit different, itspersonal preferance really! and kinda similar with the battery like if u take good care of it it could last you a year or more i guess aslong as you go back the charging guidelines etc..

32 ga. would have been better, but 30 will do the trick. You'll want to wrap them on a 1/16th inch drill bit or whatever mm that equates to. The 1/16th fits right into the slot on the Kanger heads and will keep your coil it good shape while you are installing it. Try and find some Peaches and Cream yarn. That's just the brand name, no peach flavor in it. Use 2 of the 4 strands that make up the yarn, perfect wick for the Kanger.

Oh ok cool, the reason I bought 30 gauge is because I watched a video on Youtube and this guy rebuilt his at 2.5 ohm with 32 gauge and then 1.8 ohm with 29 gauge, so I just kind of did the happy medium.

Also thanks for the heads up Ocelot, but rebuilding isn't all that hard imo, not with Youtube at my disposal :p

Also replacement heads ARE expensive without a local vapeshop, shipping fees are wack, and so is waiting.

Hi, welcome

Don't make assumptions about coils, resistance and wicking until you read and learn more. It's OK to imitate a proven build but don't start experimenting until you learn the basics.
That being said, a lower ohm coil doesn't burn hotter just per se or everybody could put a silver bar across two polls and have a great vape... Unfortunately we are dealing with many factors at once and there is a lot of misconception about Ohm's law and the practical effects. Unless you know what you're doing your going to have a few set backs or unexpected results.

Regards
Tony
