Quick question im planning on using 30g Kanthal and I want a 1.7 Ohm I used the vapers tool box app and says to wrap 4/3 does that mean the coil wraps touching each other or space between them? Thanks

I believe it's touching but you can estimate it by coil resistance and amount of kanthal used

I'd say spaced as the wire will be longer.
my 30 gauge micro is about 8/9 wraps and 2 Ohm so i'd think 3/4 would be around 1 in a micro.

Doesn't matter if the wraps touch or not as far as resistance goes. You will get more even heat with a nice tight coil.
What are you wrapping on? I use a 1/16 drill bit and use about a 7/8 wrap to get to the same resistance.
You can but you need to adjust the diameter in the options for the coil calculator if it's not set to 2mm
Whoops, typing at the same time....... I'd prefer to have more wraps so I'd use something smaller but plenty of folks use 2mm.
Im new so I really dont get what you guys mean can you calculate it for me and tell me how many wraps using a 2mm screwdriver for a 1.7 ohm and using 30g Kanthal? Please thanks

Vaper's toolbox is saying on a 3mm diameter using a smaller diameter needs more wraps to get the same resistance iof 1.7
Your screen shot shows you used 3 mm vice 2mm. That's why it came out different
