So I wanted to share my happiness after 1 week off the analogs and hopefully inspire any virgin vaper lurkers reading this to start vaping asap...

I was never fully committed to quitting the analogs, just thought I would do well to cut down a lot and was doing well on and off. Then I read about vaping! :vapor:

I had a look for different devices and saw a youtube video with a guy vaping on a DSE901, I liked the size of it and he said it tasted good. At £31 I got myself a starter kit and some menthol liquid.

Vaping is great, my sense of taste and smell have improved by miles. My wife laughs at me constantly when I am cooking because I have some many comments about the flavours that are hitting me. Then there are the flavoured nic juices, so many to try. I have found that I prefer the sweet ones with a tobacco base. Have not had many fruit ones yet so they are next on my list.

There is no way I will ever smoke another analog. I have half a packet still in my car and the thought of them makes me sick.

Thanks for reading. If you are on this forum becasue you want to give it a go, then all I can say is go for it. Invest the £30-£40 it takes to get started with a kit and some flavours, and stick around these forums and ask questions all you want.

Congratulations on making one week! I remember when I was on my 5th day of vaping and took one drag of my last cigarette and said, to myself, "this tastes awful." It's been just over six months for me and I haven't looked back. It's amazing what we subjected our bodies to with our smoking habits. I was a 16 year smoker.

Thank you for sharing your story. You have given great advice! This is one of the best forums, if not THE best, to learn about vaping and engage in discussion about the vaping lifestyle all of the glorious (and not so glorious) hardware, liquids, and the vendors who purvey them.

Welcome all...nothing is better than anything you put in your lungs...having said that, studies have shown them to have upto 1400% few chem than the funkarettes( and none are carcinogens) and have similar ingredients to patches and gum...in the time ecigs have been around(7-8yrs) no safety concerns have arisen other some small percentage of folks with a PG sensitivity...hospitals have used PG in breathing treatments and as a delivery system for specific drug treatments and it has even been used in the air handling systems at hospitals to control airborne diseases(PG is a bactericide)...now, does than sound safer than inhaling a bonfire of leaves and paper which contains upwards of 4000+ chemicals......

p.s. PG/VG is used on many of the home health and beauty aids and a big percentage of processed foods so, you probably consume it everyday...........mj
