Congrats sweetie. The first 'birthday' means a whole lot, I know it did for me. As for other comments similar to "but you didn't really quit..", reply back with something like "Ya, I've just switched from relying on the power company to using hydro/solar/wind, so I guess there is no difference..", or just flat out say something like "vaping is vaping, smoking is smoking." See the replies to that..

I was harassed once by an angry man that said he would not use that s*it, and would quit without the help of substitutes. I asked why he was still smoking then, and he got even more angry. LOL

I smoked for over 45 years. My doctor has me listed as a former smoker now. She gave me that title over 5 years ago. Those that would try to put you down have no idea as to what they are talking about. I wonder if they would say the same to someone that wears the patch......

I gave up counting how many cigarettes I haven't smoked since I quit because it makes me sick to see that kind of number.

Congratulations!!!!! I remember my first vaperversary! I got myself a few new mechs and 2 drippers as a reward lol! Celebrate your accomplishment and forget the people that tell you otherwise!

After 41 years of smoking, the bulk of that 1 1/2 packs a day, I've been smoke free now for 6 years!
Yeah, people will say "well you still have the nicotine", don't listen to them! Nothing more than a stimulant as is caffeine. Follow a few around as best you can with..."hey that soda has caffeine in it, isn't that bad for you"..."another cup of coffee, really...you know that has caffeine in it"...."I read a study somewhere that says you really shouldn't drink anything with caffeine in it"...
Yep, it'd get old to them really quickly!
They will ALWAYS have something to say because of the "smoke" coming out of your mouth...
If they do say anything I tend to use the "get away from me" tactic...I'm 6'2" 245...they usually leave quickly enough!

Congrats, it's quite long time!! Wish if you got xray of your lungs before and after quit smoking,that would kick some asses. WELL DONE.
