If you want to cut down on the throat hit and vapor production of the 510 manual battery, and don't mind using an automatic battery, then what you need is a 306 battery, not a 306 atomizer.

You can use a 306 battery with the bigger cartridge of the 510 atomizer, and it gives a really nice and easy hit. There is still a good vapor, but it isn't as hot and dense it doesn't put the smackdown on your throat.

And some other added benefits are that your juice will last longer in your cartridge, so you won't have to top off as often, and the flavor is also a little bit better as well.

I actually like using my 510 cartridge with my 306 batteries sometimes.

Thanks for the tip. However, I'm not excited to use an automatic battery, as a couple coworkers with autos don't really sing any praises about them. Also, I mainly want to try a 306 atty because of easier dripping/dipping; a manual battery also has the bonus of being resistant to liquid getting in.

Not that it matters anyways, because finding 306A equipment is very difficult from what I've found. The only ones I can find are the Janty MiniFogger brand, and that stuff is marked up to prices I don't care to pay. $18 for a single atomizer? No thanks.

I think it's a good decision. And you're right - it's hard to find supplies for the 306 but worth it. It's a dipping machine - you will love the exposed atomizer. I frequently interchange atomizers/batteries with my 306 & 510. Get a little contact lens case for dipping. Unless you get one of those daub-it thingies, which I definitely would like to have.

We recently started a 306 forum. Look under model-specific subforums. I think there's links to some suppliers.
