10% Ethyl Maltol or Cotton Candy?

Will I notice any change at all if I switch my recipes that's been using 10% Ethyl Maltol with TFA Cotton Candy? I hear they are the same thing. I been buying the pre-diluted EM from ECXP in the 120ml size for $13.99. I can get same size TFA Cotton Candy for half the price. Has anyone changed and noticed any difference?

Same thing
cotton candy is just ~10% ethyl maltol and pg its funny they sell them separate..

Although they are supposed to be the same, some folks report that there is a difference in taste..
