CE2's are nice when they work good and don't leak. They can also leak air but not drip out. If you notice bubbles coming up from the bottom of the tube when you vape this is a leak caused by tiny cracks around the bottom. This lets too much air mix with your vape and ruins the flavor and amount of vape you get.
The best way to fix leaks it to get some 3 ML BD brand syringes and cut your own tube. If your like me and need a quick fix you can use transparent tape to wrap the outside. This popular trick works well for cracking for a while but the tubes can still leak from the bottom. How to fix this? Easy, wrap the Inside of the tube with transparent tape! This will help make a tighter seal when the tube starts to loosen from removing it for cleaning.
Just one thin wrap of tape all the way around about a 1/4 of an inch into the tube from both ends does the trick. You could just do it at the bottom but I do it at the top too to make a tighter seal around my drip tip. Problem is this is a real PITA. I use a small syringe to wrap the tape around sticky side facing out and gently insert it into the tube. After I'm sure it's stuck all the way around I use the syringe to help smooth and stick down the tape hard. This will not cover the whole diameter of the tube so turn it around and do it again. For the excess sticking out of the tube I use a sharp pair of scissors to cut this flush after each application.
I have considered wrapping the entire inside and outsides of new tubes to prevent the cracking in the first place but haven't tried this yet.
I have done this with old tubes with bad cracks in them and brought them back to life. Tacky yes, but it may save your .... in a pinch.
Now if I can just find a good way to replace the wicks a 5 pack of CE2's would last me forever or until the coil blows.
