I have always heard that VG produces more vapor and PG more flavor and throat hit. However, my impression was that the differences were noticeable but not huge. I have had all PG liquid from other vendors and gotten good vapor production out of it.
Last week I ordered my usual bulk lot of AC with a doubler, but this time I ordered 100% PG instead of my usual 80/20 mix, with the thought that the VG might have been gumming up my cartos. So I load it up, and immediately I notice, a) very pungent flavor, 2) harsh throat hit, and 3) practically no vapor at all. And I mean almost *none*, like you can hardly see any of it when I exhale. Very strange given the massive throat hit that I can see almost no vapor. I thought it might be the carto at first so I switched to a new LR atty and got the exact same result.
So I went to the health food store and purchased a bottle of VG, added it to about 20% concentration to the juice, and sure enough, massive vapor clouds. Going from 0% VG to 20% VG increased the vapor at least fourfold, probably more.
I am wondering if perhaps other vendors are adding something to their PG liquids to enhance vapor production, something that TV does not add. In any event, I do not recommend 100% PG from TV unless you don't mind having virtually zero vapor production.
