I am going to experiment with both PG and VG, and with a tank, etc. simply because I'm a newbie and wanted to experiment with options.

But I'm one of those people who won't even eat canned or packaged food (industrial food) and pretty much eat all organic and made from scratch and grow my own vegetables. So, I know I would peronally would feel better using 100% VG.

So---not asking for a debate (my brother is a scientist and explained that PG is fine, but I can still make my own decision about this, so I am LOL).

I know from reading you can't use tank because VG is really thick and sticky, right?

Are the vapers who do only VG and if yes what is best setup, for my future reference?.

Ya you can find kosher pg. To the op you can use 100%vg on tanks but you may have to thin it down with distilled water or even pga(pure grain alcohol) I have heard it was popular to add pga to it, not only to thin it out but to also add more throat hit which usually 100%vg lacks. I personally don't use 100% vg but there is a whole thread for 100%vg users, although IMO pg is just as safe.

Hi Racehorse. I use 100% VG. When I use carto tanks I prefer to thin the liquid by about 7% with distilled water, This will tone down flavors and nic concentration in a pre-mixed liquid but if you feel that much better with VG only liquid then there are a whole host of vendors you can order extra flavor and strong enough for you to thin down to your own prefrence. when I make liquids for myself I use this calculator e-Liquid Calculator . Its live no downloads and best of all you can just punch in your numbers and it will point you in the direction you are looking to go. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Hello I agree with the use of VG, and PG for your info is less safe in high power units because the flash point is only about 220 degrees, just above the boiling point of water there for it can burn more easy resulting in Acrolein a relatively electrophilic compound with high toxicity. VG has a higher flash point making it safer and it also makes more smoke.

I use 100% VG 90% of the time. Mostly juices from Alien Visions E-Juice. Dripping an atty is the best for me because there are no wicking problems and in my opinion dripping is the only way to really get the true taste of a juice. I do use Boge cartomizers when I have a long drive and can't drip. Works fine, no problems and no need to thin.

You're paying for it, you're allowed to use whatever you want.

If you're purchasing e-liquid, some vendors will thin it for you if you ask. If not, as some members have said, you can use some distilled water. Some members use a dremel to slot their cartos if they're using tanks.

Info regarding the type of PG/VG to purchase. You do not want to vape food grade glycerin.

To Racehorse. Fact is the flash point of PG is lower, and if burned can and does produce Acrolein a relatively electrophilic compound and a reactive one, hence its high toxicity. VG is safer hands down. Your brother is wrong. Sorry. 6volts with a high mah battery and a slow to wick system can burn PG I have done it. If you can keep the volts down then you may get away with it but you will get less smoke.

Do we reach these temperatures when vaping? If we don't reach these temperatures your point is invalid. If we do reach these temperatures are we all breathing this toxic substance?

How is more vapor or 'smoke' as you called it safer? Surely more vapor equals more liquid in our lungs which surely would be less safe?

He means that VG's flash point is higher, so it will take a higher temperature for it to burn bad and realease acrolein or whatever, and it also makes more smoke (could have been said "and it also, on an unrelated note to health, provides a bonus of more vapor")

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Do you know how close we get to this 'flash point' when vaping?
