Hi - I am sure this has to be somewhere out there within the 12,000+ threads, and wonder why it has not become a sticky somewhere. So I apologize in advance if this is a discussed elsewhere.

I want to find out other peoples experience with using cartos and 100% VG juice. I don't do well with PG juices as do others. I have tried Boge, Stallion and now going to try the Kanger carts. I have triple punched, and slotted them for tanks and well they just get gummed up pretty fast and lose flavor. I will admit my experience has only been with VG juices from one vendor but VG is VG.

Has any one found another way around this or a good carto to use with tanks? Does a genesis style atty tank work better or is it all the same? Diluting the juice to thin it out seems to be something that will kill the flavor.

Nevertheless your opinions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks

2 or 3 drops of distilled water might thin it enough and not cause too much flavor change. That's what I saw a vendor suggest. Or you can use some drops of pure grain alcohol or vodka, I believe. You could try it on a tank full.

Some vendors formulate their mixes already thinned with distilled water or PGA. It also may matter which grade/brand of VG is used.

What type of Cartos are you talking about?

Filler Type or Non-Filler Types?

100% VG isn't the Greatest on either but it can work.

Until recently, I have only been using single and dual coil Smoktek and LR or SR Boge carts. I might reach out to the juice vendor as well.

Thanks!!

I have seen the same suggested. It is funny cause the carts in a tank don't even remotely look like the juice is being absorbed. This recently has been with the Boge carts I have on hand; however, this has been a ongoing thing.

Thanks!!!

Those are Filler Type Cartos.

100% VG doesn't work great in Filler Cartos unless the e-Liquid is on the Thin Side.

As Buggs suggested, if you have problems with the Carto not being able to keep up with your Vaping, you might try adding a Few Drops of Water or Vodka to your e-Liquid.

I vape a lot of Boba's and used to use carto tanks. I always added 1ml of PGA to the 100ml bottle when it arrived. This thinned it enough to wick in the cartos, also I used single hole pre-punched cartos but I made the hole bigger with a 1/16" drill bit. I wrapped electrical tape around the bit with just the tip exposed so I didn't drill to far and cut a wire. I got it going about as good as you can get them with a carto tank. It did just as good as thinner PG juices. Boba's has a lot of dissolved solids in it that are just as hard on cartos if not harder than the VG. AVE offers a flavor boost when you order, that could be helpful if you're going to thin it down.See if your vendor offers similar.
