100% VG questions

I picked up my first 100% VG juice today and I was wondering if possibly it's just -me- or... a general consensus. I feel as if it seriously lacks in flavor and really heavy in throat hit. I'm currently vaping Spearmint 6mg. (It's being vaped in a new EVOD.)

Hey, I'm new here but from what I've read so far, along with experimentation of my own, VG mostly add to vapor production and flavor whereas PG adds mostly to throat hit.

From what you state, it seems the other way round.. weird.. I'm not familiarize with any mod but could it be that your setting is too warm? e.g too high a voltage?

Or perhaps the flavoring of the spearmint is just too weak?

As I suspected. I'm not allergic to PG in anyway. I received a very awesome Cinnamon Roll flavor from VapeDudes that was 50/50 and it was -perfect-! I'll just head back tomorrow morning to see if I can find a different ratio for liquid.

I have an eGo battery and it worked wonders with my 50/50.

PG will give better flavor and TH but less vapor. VG will give more vapor but less TH and flavor.

I'm surprised you are getting heavy TH with 100% VG, low nic (6mg) liquid.

This is pretty much on the money. I think everyone has different ratios that suits them. I am not a big high PG fan as it tends to irritate my throat. I like 50/50 at the minimum. Good trade off for vapor production and vibrant flavor.

Not everyone is on board with the idea that VG mutes flavor. I do my own mixes that are 100% vg or nearly so (depends on the flavoring and if it has pg) and really don't notice a muted flavor or have to add to the percentage very often. I think things like too much EM are bigger flavor killers than VG honestly. As to viscosity, if a mix is all vg then there should be some distilled water added to make it flow more freely. The distilled water also helps with the massive vapor that VG is known for. TH can also be pretty dramatically effected by the flavoring used. Some flavorings add none and others can really crank it up, even in a really high VG mix.

All points taken and under consideration. Thank you for responding and giving me a better idea of the whole deal. I really am not tasting the spearmint in my juice right now and it's irritating my throat. (I feel like a complete noob when I have to cough after one vape.)

It is possible that the spearmint is actually too strong and that is cutting your ability to taste it properly.

I see. That could very well be true. It is either that or I'm not used to large amounts of vapor from straight VG. Thank you!
