I use 100% VG and have gotten into the habit of taking some "dry" hits if I toke a couple times in a row. BCC works better with VG but even then I'll have to occasionally dry hit it to draw some liquid into the coil chamber quicker. iClear has a tighter draw than Protanks, which may be on purpose to provide more suction which is needed to pull liquid up the wicks better. Since Protanks are BCC their draw is looser, otherwise there'd be too much suction and you'd flood your coil.

Yes! a mouth full of juice and the blisters a few days later are no fun.

I've found it best to clean the Kanger tanks and heads in very hot water every coupla refills, and to give them some time to rewick juice into the coil between hits. The juice in the bottom of the tank and in the head gets darker and thicker with heat exposure and refilling on top of that makes each next tank progressively harder to wick. I don't use clearomizers or the eVic much any more, but I do use my two ProTanks on it for AVE's Boba's Bounty and Havana Gold, which I don't vape very often.

Thanks Jay,
This is what I'm learning. You really spelled it out for us here.

Try keeping your wattage around 7W. I can run 7.5W with most juices, and a couple at 8W, without getting a burned taste.

Thanks for the wattage info, I'm going at 7.0W on this first tank with a 2.0 resistance atomizer. The flavor is there, no burnt taste, gotta break in this new atomizer...
