Hopefully non-vapers will read this topic and better understand the real issue is not nicotine vaping, even if it it's a common factor involved it's most likely a coincidence.

We all care about harm reduction and the government and anti-vaping community needs to understand that. But even if we didn't we still have the right to vape.

Table salt kills more people in a month than vaping has in it's entire existence. Vaping saves 100s if not 1000s of lives yearly, find something else to demonize, something truly harmful, how about the actual issue of vitamin e acetate and possibly tainted black market pods.

I agree with Everything you said.

But what I Don't Like is making No Distinction between people using Nicotine in an e-Cigarette to Cut Down/Quit Smoking/Stay Off Cigarettes and people using THC.

The Media, since I have been a Member of the ECF, have referred to what we do as "Vaping". So that is what the Public thinks of when they hear that term.

Now people are getting Sick. And some have even Died. And what does the Media say the cause is? Vaping.

So what do you think the Average person thinks when they see a Media Headline about "Vaping Deaths" ?
Or when they see the Title of this Thread ?

I don't know about nic pod sickness issues .. what I do know is, the Underground Market in the USA for high strength THC pods .. up to 1000mg .. people are using the availability of these pods no different than when coke was distilled down to crack .. they want it, they seek it out and they like it .. it's just simple as that ::

Wisconsin brothers accused of running illegal THC vape cartridge 'empire'

I don't think China has anything to do with it other than making the pods themselves .. what this whole issue needs to be named is another Drug on top of the other Drugs .. the more and more easy availability of weed has morphed just like coke did in in the mid-80's ..

And the Vape Pen has become the delivery system ..

They seem to have been very carefully avoiding actual statistics on how much of this problem is actually nicotine vaping while doing some other things that are very very bed science. The “link” they are making is if anyone dies from anything pulmonary and they ever vaped they are “linked”. They avoid differentiating between illegal vapes and ones legally sold under the deeming, they avoid the actual numbers of nicotine e-cigarette users or doing fact checking. Theyre not normalizing for other illnesses, they’re not doing any number of standard scientific procedures normally done to promote accuracy. They’re building the biggest numbers they possibly can using the loosest of criteria and it still isn’t good enough so they have to conflate with illegal drugs to get anywhere.

They don't care, like I posted above about my state.

Florida certainly has a broad definition of vaping with no distinctions.

* Includes vaping using an electronic device (e.g., electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS), electronic cigarette, e-cigarette, vaporizer, vape(s), vape pen, dab pen, or other) to inhale substances (e.g., nicotine, marijuana, THC, THC concentrates, CBD, synthetic cannabinoids, flavorings, or other substances), with or without smoking of any plant, chemical, or substance.

I mean even going as far as include the term smoking, talk about broad.

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
Ms had its first death today and Georgia the person who died was vaping only nicotine though I did not hear at what level.
Awhile back I was watching a series of videos on YouTube about murders,,. 1 guy killed his wife by concentration of nic with 1 or 2 packs of cigs.. he applied it to her while she slept.... My point is,, I wouldn't be surprised if at least 1 of these cases was an intentional overdose.

And as we all know,,, something else is going on & we who keep it clean are getting the heat/blame.

Say what?
Yeah,. If memory serves he tried it twice,, 1 pack concentration only made her real sick,, so he waited and doubled up for the "win". He almost got away with it until someone mentioned she couldn't stand smokers & lived a very clean life...(so her death didn't match her life with nic in her system) By the looks of her pic, she was slim & healthy looking

I'm rather speechless. Was this transdermal? Or liquid injection? I'm just mystified by how this was even done, let alone the sheer evil of it...thankfully he didn't get away with it...

I think I found it...

Looks like he sedated her with something then injected it...

And now a T-storm is rolling in, so I have to shut the PC off, but, this has blown my mind. :(

Earlier this year, I was buying some Nautilus coils at a shop when I was told that people are burning up pen batteries vaping thick oils. This surprised me because the one time I tried the stuff it vaped normally on a small pen battery and was an enjoyable vape. I'm wondering if the cut oil doesn't vape right or maybe due to the cost they're taking it right down to the bitter end of the cartridges. Or maybe the atomizers are sometimes defective. The users probably aren't experienced enough with normal vaping to know that if it tastes burnt, something's wrong.

That really made me think. What if all these illnesses\deaths are due to intentional poisoning of the THC carts by one or a small group of people. We'd be looking at mass murder, maybe even domestic terrorism. That's a chilling thought.

Chilling (and interesting) thought for sure, I personally doubt it though. In all honesty, I would doubt that these cutting agents were used with the intention of harming users at all. More likely born of ignorance (shameful ignorance) in an effort to boost profit. But - I have no idea what's going on. I'm on edge, though. Because this is insane - it really is. In every conceivable way. Feels like I'm watching a movie...

It is unreal. People on both sides of the fence are tripping, general disinformation campaigns flood the media, government corruption that isn't even being disguised is commonplace. Thousands of employees and business owners are losing their income and property, there are fines for possession with the intent to sell in some of the states, and police are conducting raids on shops in Massachusetts, from what I've gathered. What kind of nightmare is this?

This is definitely a nightmare and unfortunately I don't see us waking up anytime soon. It's not the first time this kind of thing has happened in our country, but it's on a whole other level of insanity in some ways. For one thing, we're living in the information age, so for those who actually pay attention, the hypocrisy/corruption is incredibly evident. Yet, their campaign is successful regardless...so...pinch me. But I won't wake up, because unfortunately, I am wide awake already. :(

    These deaths are heartbreaking.

I've said before that I fear they are going to continue until the CDC gets up and gets out there with the plain and clear truth and facts.

People hear "e-cigarettes" and think 'it's not them'...and continue to use their carts.
The obfuscation of the truth is tantamount to homicide.

The truth will stop the deaths.

When was it drawn and who drew it though? Overly broad definitions can cause problems of their own also.

I’ve ceased thinking this is about truth or health myself.

Lung Injury Associated with E-Cigarette Use, or Vaping

It's hard for me to believe a state as large as Florida only has 27 reported cases, and TONs of people here partake in recreational cannabis.
The information is in the asterisk. Not a useful place. No dates or times. There are two law section numbers which would have dates and who proposed what, but the asterisk could or could not be part of either of them.
