Like the others said, just smoke an analog. By this time you're taste buds are growing back. I had the same problem the first two weeks. I'd light one, take two drags and put it out because I couldn't stand the taste. When you do this make sure you have a good juice ready to go, a kind of "ahhhh that's sooo much better"

I was a heavy smoker for 45+ years. It doesn't happen overnight. Don't beat yourself up if you smoke, at least you're on the right track. I started with 36mg and would sometimes vape myself dizzy but it killed my desire to smoke. Once you get the right gear and get a little more comfortable with the whole vaping experience you'll be on your way.
Be patient with yourself, this is a big transition
I wish you the best of luck :)

Yea I'm puffing on a type b ego-t right more and looking out for the mail man every day to see if my Boge LR cartos are in there... This tank just isn't cutting it any more, but I'm going to stick with it. I'm not giving up!!! :banghead:

Those tank attys are pretty good for dripping (down the side slots), if you want a change. You can also stove pipe them if you don't have an Ego type B drip tip. The whistle tips kind of mute and cool the flavor and ruin the atty's potential.

I'm one of those who didn't instantly switch over to vaping. I allowed myself to smoke, but had to learn from it. In order to have a cig, I had to note down exactly what it was that I was craving. Was it nicotine? The big cloud? Ritual? Then, if I still wanted to, I could smoke one. Over time, I found an e-juice that would give me a giant hit of menthol, had some cartos that I had filled with a stronger nicotine level, and bought a vv box mod so I could crank up a big cloud of vapor.

If I have a craving, I first go to the carto with the juice that best satisfies that type of craving. My wife made me a nice little framed class box with a pack of my old cigs inside. It has a little brass hammer and a brass plate that says "In emergency - break glass". Sometimes I look at it longingly, but I don't want to break that glass. At first I thought it was a rather cruel thing for her to have done, but now I can see the psychology behind it. It helps.

I wish you luck and strength in dealing with the cravings.

You know yourself best-
once you have made day 3 you should probably hang in there rather than start over.

If you have 1 cig., it might fix you up & back to the PV, but you probably should not buy a pack.
You know yourself best- go w/ your instincts.
You can drip into the atty.

For me:
Most did not start smoking a pk/day after the first cig.- no reason to expect to switch to a PV in a day.
Some of us stopped smoking near effortlessly & did not try to quit- i.e. continued to smoke some declining for a couple of weeks or so.

Somewhere out there
A change of flavor helps alot! Also try new ones that you may not think you like like fruit or deserts for example.
I quit on just tobacco and menthol flavors and I got bored real quick but trying new flavors really helped me stay on the ecig. Maybe you need one juice of 30 nic to give you a real nic fix. For me 24 was my highest and I used 12 or 6 rest of time. Switch around and have fun with it :) bnrk

I'm just going to have to tough it out. I know if I buy a pack I will smoke the while thing that same day. Then tell myself I'll start back on the e-cig tomorrow, but then I talk myself into starting the next day, then the next day, then the next day till I wake up coughing up a long with a swollen punching bag at the back of my mouth. I don't want to go back. I can't! 11 days is great! And I don't want to have to start from square one. I rooms a bottle of RY4 that I ordered about a month and a half ago and never used, maybe I just needed a change in flavor. But we will see how it goes. :(

I say just smoke an analog. Then you'll see how bad they really are. No throat hit, terrible taste :) When I help people get started with vaping I always tell then if you feel like you need to smoke a real cigarette then smoke one. Don't equate vaping with quitting smoking, which most people view as difficult and sucky, but as a positive in that it is more enjoyable than smoking. All the added health benefits are just gravy.
Well said. I just posted how easy it was to stop smoking via vaping. After reading your reply I realize that's what made it so easy. I didn't "quit smoking", I switched to vaping.

I'm on day 5 and feeling exactly like you were (or are). It's just the addiction talking. At one point, I did quit for 3 yrs, but it never felt permanent. It doesn't take much to relapse, just one analog will throw me right back in. I know it's different for all, but my best advice is don't light one up no matter how tempted you are.

Cravings will pass and you'll be very glad if you stick to PV's only. Part of kicking the habit is gaining back control. It'll take a good month to rid the toxins from normal smoke - you're still dealing with physical withdrawal. After that, it's all psychological dependence. Although with PV's, I'm curious to find out if cravings for analogs will continue longer.

You're mind and body are tricking you into thinking that you have to have one. All you really need is food, water and sleep. Vaping is a replacement for your old habit. It will take time for the replacement to work.

I have been vaping for almost a month now and every now and then I will grab one of my wifes analogs and get about half way through and ralize that it tastes like crap. When I first started I would make it through the whole thing. Stay strong and try to bum just one. I understand your point of, if you fall off the horse you may not get back on, but if you have been smoking for a long time you can actually cause physical damage with nic-fits. When my grandmother was quitting the Dr. told her not to quit cold turkey, it could cause a stress related heart attak. Now she smoked 3 PAD for 40 years. I am sure she would have enjoyed a vaporizer while quitting.

Stay strong, allow yourself little slides, you'll be OKAY.

Analogs are not addictive JUST because of the nicotine... there's some other stuff in there too, and my understanding is that while some of them are physically addictive, it has a lot to do with the fact that your addicted brain is telling you that you need to smoke a cigarette to get your fix.

after a while your brain will re-adjust, and find out that actually it's mostly the nicotine, not the cigarette, that you are addicted to. For me it went so far that when I ran out of juice for the first time, I had to return to analogs while waiting for more to be shipped, and it was horrible at first, headaches and a general feeling of self-poisoning... but i got used to it again.

when the e-juice finally came i switched back to ecigs immediately and never looked back.
