I hate sounding like a newbie considering I have been vaping for more than a year now and reached my 1st year anniversary analog-clean on July 7th, 2010; however, can anyone tell me which atomizers last longer, the SLB, the Bauway (not sure if the SLB and Bauway are the same company or not), or the EM type.
Can anyone tell me which atomizers for the Ego/Ego knock-offs work the longest among the many brands? I don't use cartomizers. The primary reason is because they are not exactly cross-over liquid free where as changing out a cartridge with fresh poly-fill or blue plug after rinsing the cartridges out removes the flavor from before and many atomizers tend to lose the previous taste once rinsed out with either hot water, white vinegar, or soaking in the Smoker's Polident cleaner.
I have several or more attys that quit on me rather fast. I thought about asking Vaporer here at ECF if he would mind checking my attys to find out if they stopped from something I did or if they just wore out. I realize the LR's wear out and die sooner than the regular 510s but regardless, I would like to know if it's possible to rebuild them. My problem is I don't have enough vision remaining to allow me to take an atty apart then repair it, and reassemble them. Plus, a soldering iron or any other electronic device similar to a soldering iron such as a chain saw, electronic shrub trimmers, and electric jigsaws are among but not nearly the end of the list of electronic products that literally scare the heck out of me. It wasn't so much when I was able to see what I was doing but now that I can't, I have this horrible fear of getting hurt because I can't see what I am doing. I even stopped building computers when my vision dropped to the point I was unable to put them together without fear of ruining the motherboard, ram chips, or shortening out slots on the machine's mobo. I actually did short out the IDE slots on an old desktop I built from the ground up then overclocked it to a considerable speed over 1ghz. It worked well until I attempted to do some repairs after I was unable to see what I was doing. Now the hard drives are still there but the primary drive doesn't work well and the IDE slot is burn out to the point where I am not able to use the drive in order to install the operating system all over again.
I kind of figure if I purchased a better quality that's within my price range (I'm on disability income with some earnings from my freelance writing for online companies, digitally & via magazines w/most directed toward the lifestyles for the blind, and a few columns, and various review information for the masses over many websites). At this point, DH cannot & will not be able to return to work b/c of his health disabilities so we are awaiting a decision from SSA and hoping the attorneys can help get the disability through in order for us to stay afloat better than now when the sole income is my SSDI, which is barely enough to budget let alone support three people (DH, our minor child, and myself) but we make do. I learned to budget when I had nothing while supporting an infant from a previous marriage in addition to a little brother whom I was able to remove from our parents' violent home. I rec'd no support from either my ex or our parents for supporting the children so i had to take on 2 & 3 jobs and even 4 when I could fit it into my schedule. The ex walked out on not just me but our child who wasn't even 10mos at the time. The only difference btw then and now is I wasn't blind from a retinal eye disease, or two autoimmune diseases that cause all sorts of problems from brain fog to joint disease to nerve damage. The one autoimmune along with the only med available in more than 50 years when taken at the appropriate dose to slow lupus (SLE) also causes retinal damage though not even specialists in the field can tell what caused the damage, the retinal disease, the natural course of the autoimmune diseases, or the medication to slow the progress of lupus (SLE). So, I simply prepare for the worst then hope for the best. It's how I get through each day.
Please forgive me if I happen to be rambling. I have had a summer cold for almost a week now that doesn't seem to be relenting. If it doesn't stop in the next few days I will have to go to the doctor, who will start me on a broad-spectrum antibiotic as a precaution b/c a small cold for someone with a hosed immune system can very easily turn into pneumonia. It's caused the lupus go to wonky and with it, I've had spells of brain fog I can't control.
Any ideas regarding the best atomizers that last the longest for the lowest prices is much appreciated.
PS: Does the cylinder atty that goes with the cartridge that supposedly holds 2.1ml of fluide work as well as I hear it does? I'd nice to not have to keep topping off so so frequently.
DSE is SLB, like Boge is Bauway.
(if I'm wrong, i hope I am corrected)
