14500 Battery Question...

I have a VV box mod that should be arriving today. I am writing this while decked out in my ghillie suit in the bushes so I can intercept the mailman upon delivery!

My 14500 batteries for the mod will be a few days forthcoming. In the meantime, would it hurt anything to drop a couple of regular AA batts in it so i can use it, or will something blow up and cause the zombie apocolype if I do?

They might also have non rechargeable 14500's if all you want to do is try it out. These are a lot cheaper and their 14500's will be overpriced compaired to what you can find on-line.

Seriously? That would be killer because I have the batts and charger on the way.

The 3 RadShacks I've checked here is SA don't carry anything above 1.5V, was told there's no need for it.

Yeah I have never seen 14500's at the shack. If you have a link or a picture of that that would be awesome.
