14500 trustfire firejacket batteries, real or fake?

I have heard about this issue from many of my friends and I just came in contact w/ it myself. I have 14500 Trustfire Firejackets from 2 different suppliers. They are different sizes. What is the deal? They both seem to work fine, but I just got them b/c I just got my first mod box. Did I get sold fake ones from one of the suppliers? I think maybe Trustfire produces the 900mah 14500's in different sizes. That doesn't seem to make sense to me. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THE TRUTH.

I believe the "longer" Flames are the suspect ones. A wonderful member on here tore them apart to see what was up and it was a no name battery inside of the wrapper with fake protection circuit ends kind of glued on, which resulted in a longer battery.

They could be fake, but they could also just be made from two different factories. I believe Ultra/Trust-Fire contracts out for batteries to different factory's, and then sticks there label on it, which results in slightly varying battery sizes. AW don't have this problem (for the most part).

There are some fakes with a off color and no hologram on the label . On some the protection circuit is on the wrong side . I always order from DX since i know theirs are legit . The fakes are usable however if you have a pair dont use them in stacked(series) mods because the fakes are 2 different cells so its a bit of a safety issue there .

Someone posted pics of the labels removed on the fakes and in a sealed pair there was one no name 700mah cell and a different no name 600mah cell
