I usually vape KGD cotton until it's white and dry, it usually starts to "pop" a little letting me know it's getting dry.

Depending on the wattage you run the 0.7 build you'll use liquid faster or slower, but I can tell you that the 3.5mm coil size is going to let you have a lot of wicking material, which means you'll probably be using a lot of liquid to keep it wet compared to smaller coils. I don't think it should dry out that quickly, unless you're really running it high.

As TripleD said, do you get dry/burnt hits after 4 draws? If you're vaping the cotton dry then it's working as intended, but if it's tasting burnt and it's still saturated then you have a issue.

Try trimming your Wick to where it barely laps into the Well floor. Will still do great job picking up Juice but you would be surprised how the excess Cotton in the Well takes up space that could be used for more Juice volume. Plus, the more Wick, the harder it is to be carried to the Coil firing Zone.
15-20 drips sounds like a sufficient amount to give you more than 4-5 toots though.

It's working as intended. After the 4th puff I taste that the next would be a classical dryhit.
I was just surprised that the liquid consumption is that high. I thought my wicking just su**ed seeing others take more puffs at higher wattage.

Well I guess I just have to get used to dripping.^^

Use more cotton my friend! I run a freakshow mini at .13ohms on a mech mod and get 6-8 puffs out of 15-18 drops! I'm not saying stuff it full of cotton, but be generous. It will help a lot!

Edit: When I say more cotton, I mainly am referring to the density of the cotton in your coils. A lot of people will tell you that the cotton should slide in and out of the coil with relative ease (which is generally a good rule to go by, especially with RTAs). However, I have found that if I get the density to where it will barely move within the coil, everything just works better. The legs on wicks are just enough to touch the bottom of the juice well, but remain nearly the same density as the cotton within the coil. Hitcat44 is 100% right about this. It allows juice to move more quickly!

That's what I just did. I remembered my Lemo dryhitting with too little cotton.

I have a nice amount of cotton in my Troll now and get between 6 and 10 puffs depending on the wattage.
