Try Inawera (not the Shisha types) and I bet you could taste a recipe under 10%.
That’s interesting because I’ve just started adding Inawera to my flavor stash. Thanks
Try Inawera (not the Shisha types) and I bet you could taste a recipe under 10%.
Because of TFA apples I started every apple at 10%. I have an Inawera Bahraini Apple Gold tester at 10%, LOL. I either need to dump it or do some math to figure it down to 1%-2%.
I think I'm overdoing it at 20% based on what I'm hearing.
I like to add as much flavor as I think the mix needs. If it's way too strong, I cut it with drops of PG/VG. I find It is much easier to cut a strong mix than add a multitude of flavors back into a mix and re steep. As to the nic, for me not a problem. Where is it written: I will only be satisfied with 3,6 etc. mg only spot on while vaping?I think I'm overdoing it at 20% based on what I'm hearing.
I highly recommend an RDA, (their dirt cheap, everyone should have at least one 2 post like the Magma).I'm building, though I do use an RTA. Been thinking about getting an RDA simply since I am mixing now though. Good advice.
TFA,CA,FA,LA are great buys depending on the flavor. Since you are new, it may be a good idea to stick with these and make your mistakes cheaply. I found after a the first few years, I got to know which flavors were worth the most money.Started off with mostly TFA / TPA (depending on what you call it) because they are less expensive. But I'm finding I like CAP quite a lot.
Obig bottles are 16oz (near 500ml) small bottles are 4oz (120ml)
Main flavors In Mixes are around 5-8% and accent tones are in the 1-2% range, for example my recipe I made for blueberry vanilla custard has 10ml of vanilla custard and 12ml of blueberry extra per the 400ml bottle I made, most flavors where 2-3mlO

Looks like you're a cheesecake/custard fan.
Good heavens, man! How much e-liquid do you vape a day?
Your 4, and 16 ounce bottles equate to 52oz., or 1537.822mL total flavoring concentrate. I know you mentioned you have reduced your total flavor percentage over time (I have no idea what you are mixing at now). But, for the sake of discussion, if you were still mixing at 15% total flavoring... that is 10,252.66mL/10.83 quarts (US)/2.71 gallons(US) of finished e-liquid. Or, in other words, 341.76mL bottles.
If you are mixing lower than 15% total flavoring; then it is even more.
I am no cloud chaser; only a tootle puffer (I'm strictly a flavor chaser). My e-liquid consumption is less that 3 mL a day. Even at a full 3mL/day; it would take me 9.36 years to vape all that!
I really don't know what else to say, other than "good on ya!"
I started using TFA flavors at around 20%. After 3 years I'm down to around 10% now. I also went from recipes with 6 or more flavors to using 2 or 3. Maybe taste buds change over time as you get further away from smoking. Who knows.
I definitely agree with the part I underlined above. When I first started DIY, not long after quitting the smokes...I used to make Bill's Magic Vapor recipes, with each TFA flavoring % as he had written it in the recipe. They usually had 16-27% total flavoring in each recipe. I loved them!
After about 6-8 months of doing DIY, my sense of taste had improved. Since then, when I make his recipes...I cut each flavoring % in 1/2. They're still just as wonderful and very flavorful to me.
Thank you, yeah that one was a year, the blueberry vanilla custard I’ve been tweaking for the past 2 years I’ve got it pretty much set where I want it now I’ll pass out a few small bottles and see what others think, I brought down the % on a bunch of the flavors but that’s what I found I like I wanna see what others think just for some constructive criticism. They’ll have to wait at least a month though as it’s a fresh batch and it needs at least a 3 week steepCongratulations and I guess patience pays off. I can't imagine working on a mix for a year, but well, it sounds like it's working. LOL.
