Luckily, she's driving a Subaru, so she has 4 wheel drive. She only has all weather tires and not snow tires though. So they might stop her at the checkpoint and require her to pay exorbitant prices for tire chains.

Yay! That is wonderful!Whoooooo! We're up to 20 this morning!It feels positively BALMY after that -16 and 0 the last two days! (Our high both days was 6 and 7, respectively.) It was so "warm" I even got that shot in Cricket.
She wasn't happy, but I didn't get kicked again, so all is well.
Here are some pics for you guys, since I haven't posted any in a long time. First, Chicklet, all growed up into a young lady now, and I'm expecting her first egg any day now:
And Zipper the Wonder Dufus, intently watching the floor under the chair that Chicklet is sitting on, waiting for a snack to magically drop out of "thin air." (I swear, this dog makes me have a headache some days...)
"Sigh... no snacks yet. Well, I'll just lay here and wait..."
And Missy, who thinks she's the Sheriff, waiting to see if she needs to thump Zipper or one of the cats for some indiscretion:
Oh, and while I have my pictures open, here's my new toolbox full of all my DIY flavors. I've got it bad, don't I?

I guess I wasn't very clear. She's waiting for POOP. Ugh. Even if she's on the couch in the living room (OK, it's not that far away), if she hears a splat on the floor, she's on it like white on rice. Slurp-slurp-slurp! It's totally and utterly DISGUSTING, but it's the high point of her day, and at least it will go through. I'd rather have her eating chicken poop than wood. Wood doesn't digest, chicken poop does. One $1500 surgery to unblock her intestines is enough. You know there's chicken poop in dog kibble, don't you? I think cat food, too, but it might only be in the cheap brands. Anyway, it's listed as "poultry digest." That's the word for "chicken poop we added to your dog's food to increase the protein level." Yuk. But the dogs don't seem to mind.
