I agree. It's free stuff, not everyone will always win. I think back to Field Day in elemtary school.1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners got ribbons....not everyone went home with one. I'm sorry, I don't believe in this new era of entitlement where all kids go home with trophies. If you wanna give trophies to a winning team, fine, then give out certificates of participation if you want. But not everyone gets a trophy. A friend of mine was complaining about that the other day, her grand daughter plays soccer. After the last big game in the tournament, the winning team got trophies, the next 2 teams got ribbons. The rest of the kids got nothing. She was whining that all the kids should have gotten a trophy. Why?????
+ 10 on that post! I believe the new era of entitlement is ridiculous as well! The whole point of people working hard and harder than others is for the respect and end prize at what they are working towards, and not to work their .... off just to get the same thing a slacker would get. Many people think its unfair if everyone does not get the same prize, but it would be unfair if one person works their .... off to get for example straight A's while another person does not care and does not try at all and gets D's, and they both get the same prize .... that would not be fair.

^^^^ this happened over on the Thailand vapers forum for the heaven gifts contest.
They couldn't reach the numbers needed to finish their FIRST round. Someone in the heavens gift contest thread here posted about it, a number of us went over their, got their numbers up, first round ended, one of their normal members won, but their was nothing but complaints about us being there, and now for the second round (same contest, same time period, that we are on round 5 of [emoji14]), no one without a Thai address is allowed to enter......i told them it would be one thing if it was a contest run by their forum, but since it's not, and we were asked over, their decision was pretty stupid, then wished them luck on actually finishing round two, while we work on round 5 with a 6th likely [emoji14]
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.
That is just sad....the worst part is if only they continued to win they would not have whined. So, it is expected the others to come help them, but God forbid any of the others win something for their effort!

I'm with you... I feel bad for the vendors when the whiners start up, but I also feel bad for the winners. It's wrong to rain on their parade that way. It almost made me feel guilty for winning when the whiners started up on the 15mil contest.

I also feel sorry for the winners too, because it can make someone feel bad when they win if another person is in the corner saying (in a negative pouty voice) "its not fair OR I really needed that....I dont know what im going to do now." its just not fair to the winners to say things like that, because it makes them feel bad for winnng like they took something from someone else. If the winner has not been chosen then I dont see much wrong with someone saying "I need this!". I always include smiley faces when I post just so everyone knows I am saying the things I post in a positive way :) I never ever want to come out pouty, whining, or negative in a post when I am not being that way :)

I won one even though I really don't need it, but I wanted one purely because of the ECF branding. If they were just giving out a plain Disrupter that is exactly the same as the Disrupter you can get anywhere, I wouldn't care whether I won or not.

Anymore people expect a pat on the back or an attaboy for doing what they are supposed to!
I don't see a lot of people going above the call if duty for anything!
Everybody wants a trophy but nobody wants to work for it! Nobody wants to be left behind...then keep the :censored: up! This is the very reason we homeschool our youngest. When he started 4th grade he was already ahead of his class and the teacher wanted us to slow down on teaching him stuff at home! Puhlease!

I hope what I posted in no way made you guys think I was meaning if someone did not need it they should not got it [emoji53] I truly do not know how that would come out of what I posted, but just in case, I was not meaning anything like that at all. The whole point of a contest in my opinion is winning something you want.

I agree with Red, they would have held him back from his true potential. It is sad that they did not want to put in the extra work to challenging him above the other students. The school systems have been failing in different ways the last few years. In my hometown a few years ago they got rid of the art and music programs :(

No, sweetie...I didn't think that at all!!! I wanted to try, but probably wouldn't have bought cause its not in my budget. I was thrilled to get one' and I really think it means more with the logo on it. It makes it even more special to me.

They barely have science and social studies! They sure as hell don't have civics or economics! No art or music, unless it's private school, which I can't afford out here! And we aren't close enough to any that count! The Dude will be 11 in Oct, he starts the 7th grade in 2 weeks! He really does make it fun to be a parent!

See, that's what I mean......schools without art and music fail the child. Back in my day, kids could read and write when they graduated. Now? What an epic failure to see kids roaming the mall who cannot even carry on a conversation without looking lost ( yes, I was in retail and thoroughly disgusted when people couldn't even count back change unless they have a picture on the screen).

I am very relieved! Lol I would never want to offend any of you :) because I like you all. The logo is too cool, and it really makes it special. ECF has helped so many, and I think the logo is a great way to show support :)
