Even better!!!

Oh, man, I would KILL for some Chinese takeout! I haven't had any in nearly 12 years! I can MAKE Chinese food, and I'm actually pretty good at it, but it's a lot of work, and the cleanup is so tedious. Someday, when we live in civilization again, that's going to be one of the VERY FIRST THINGS we do is order Chinese takeout! OMG, my mouth is watering... pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, fried shrimp, chow mein, egg foo-young with gravy...

It's a chili sauce.

Oh. Chinese chili sauce? Yikes! That might be too hot for me. But I've got some good Jalapenos in the freezer... ;)

I meant, to compare it to the Bird Brains! LOL! I was on that same contest for a while, too, but I stopped it along with the rest back in July. The weird thing was that I won a Star Mountain one and hadn't even posted to that thread for almost two weeks! LOL! That's the last thing I won, because I quit posting on the threads, but I'll pick them up again later.

Lol...gotcha...I meant on a level of flavor intensity....it's not very flavorful or strong. I've been letting it sit, should go back and try it again, shouldn't I? I got a 2nd win on Star Mt, got some more Smarty Pants, it doesn't taste as good as the last time, so letting it sit, too.

It's actually not that hot. ;) I think in scoville units, it's slightly less than Tabasco sauce.

I can make most of it at home, but it takes like 2+ hours. Sunday is my lazy day off of cooking.

Yummmmm....we have a buffet close by that we love. They just recently added egg foo-young, but had no gravy. I was so bummed! After I got out of the Army and moved back to MN briefly, I waitressed in a Chinese restaurant. The pay was crap, but he fed me... Fed me very well...did one of the best egg foo-young I have ever had. And every night, when I clocked out, he'd send me home with a huge container full of either special fried rice or lo mien.

In our MREs we got little bottles of tobasco sauce.... Every once and awhile you'd get one that changed colour from red to a yellow..... Those were so incredibly hot!

NICE benefits! LOL! I love egg-foo-young, but it was always a "mystery" food to me. I had no idea what was in it, until I got a Chinese cookbook, and it was SO SIMPLE! Of course, it's much better freshly made than after it's sat around in the steamer tray for hours, but hey, I'll take it either way.

When I was working my first full time job, way back when dinosaurs still roamed the Earth ;) there was a little Chinese place in Oldtown (Chinatown area) that made the best deep fried tempura shrimp, and it was only $4.95 for a whole large carton. Back then, $4.95 was a lot more than it is today, and you would have paid that much for lunch in a nice restaurant, but at least once or twice a week, I walked over there and got a carton of shrimp and ate it for my lunch. Just the shrimp. It was sooooo good!

I'm getting so hungry, and for stuff I don't have! You guys are MEAN TO ME!

And you know what's worse? I just made a batch of that cinnamon coffeecake e-liquid and THAT smells like a freaking BAKERY! I need snacks! Oh, wait, there ARE NO SNACKS in the house except crackers! Oh, man, it really sucks to be me right now!
