Awwww! Crissie sounds like a sweetheart! The unexpected kisses are always the worst! Lol I bet she got your whole face! Haha
Very sweet of Fuzzy to make you bday dinner! Yay Fuzzy!

He makes it for me every year, it's his specialty, and it's VERY, VERY GOOD! And yes, Crissie is a sweetheart. She'd happily climb into my lap if I'd let her. It might be cute now, but later, when she's big enough to squish me, not so much... so I have to push her off me. I still get kisses and milk slobber, though. ;)

Happy Bday Lannie! I hope you had a lovely day!

Thank you, I did. With the exception of dealing with the cow barn floor (which is ALWAYS a horrible mess this time of year), chores were pretty easy today, meaning everyone sort of cooperated, and my favorite little sister called this afternoon, so we chatted for over an hour. I can smell dinner cooking and I'm starting to drool, and then there's cake for dessert. I don't think I have room in my pants for all this.:p

I think I'm the only one that doesn't need a massage... but if we're throwing in manis and pedis, I'm down!

Shenaynay doesn't deliver there...lol
It's not Shenaynay I'm worried about! It's the people at my local. Any box with food (especially stuff that smells really good) in it is mysteriously opened at delivery.

MJ, she's already in bed, so maybe I should answer this. It is special meatloaf, fried-baked potatoes, and lima beans --- all done in an electric frying pan. There's secrets to doing this. The potatoes are sliced about 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick, fried in butter then turned over and the lid is put on (this has the same effect as baking). While that is going on, secret ingredients are mixed together with hamburger, then patted out and dropped in the frying pan with the taters. Then you go to the freezer and get a pound of fordhook baby lima beans, crack it on the sink edge, and put it in the pan with all the ice attached, which makes steam in the pan when you put the lid back on (necessary for baking in the flavors). When it's all done, you take the lid off and exclaim, "Looks like crap!" because you can see everything is black on the bottom, which is also part of the secret, because cooked this way, even the black is delicious. I've been doing this dish since 1972. You can also put a bunch of raw eggs in the shell on top of the potatoes for the last 15 minutes and they will become the best "boiled" eggs you ever had. See, even old men can have cooking secrets...
