18490 vs 18650

What are peoples experience with the IMR 18490. The mod I'm looking to buy is made for 18490 instead of the planned 18650. I know the mAH will be lower but do they still perform well?

Yes they perform well , but the 18650's will give you more vape time - otherwise they both are 3.7 volts .

I'm currently using a 14500 and want to step to a bigger bat. I'm looking to order a REO woodvil but he is currently making them in 18490 instead of 18650. Not a big enough of a difference to turn away?

The 18500 I use has 1800 mah capacity; enough to let me vape heavily all day. This is about 2 times the capacity of the 14500 batteries. The 18650 has more capacity, about 2200 t0 2500 mah. This may allow you to vape longer, but only about half a day's worth. The 18490/18500 battery should be enough to last you all day, so don't worry.

Awesome! Thanks alot. Thats ok with me if it doesn't last as long as a 18650 as long as they are still a good performing battery
