Is my statement correct? Still not 100% sure of being safe with mech mods so looking along the kick lines. If a mod is not telescopic and built for a 18650 I couldn't swap it for a 18500+ kick! or if it's built for an 18500 I couldn't swap for 18350+ kick. I have loads of kit on order now just trying to get my head around a few things before the big bang, or to prevent it lol.

Aside from the telescoping mech mods, certain mods were built with using the evolv kick in mind.

A good example is the Atmomixani Nemesis. The said comes with short kick ring made specifically to use with kick.

Other mods may work. However, the bottom button may be extended down/out more than usual.

Your statement is more or less accurate. Battery lengths follow industry standards. For example an 18650 breaks down to 18 65 0 or 18mm diameter, 65mm length, and "0" for round. Everything (except for 18490) is in 15mm increments in length. My kick, (made by Smok) measures 16.25mm in height so it would be longer than an 18650 when paired with an 18500 by 1.25mm however with an 18490, it would only be .25mm longer. So when it's paired with an 18490 I can usually take up the difference with one (or both) of the adjustment screws.

There are slight variances to these standards across the various manufacturers and as far as flat top / nipple top goes and protected vs un-protected but for the most part things are pretty close...

My chiyou comes with a kick tube; it takes an 18650 and a kick; or I can just use 18350 with kick; or without kick in both cases.

The threading is M21x1 which also makes the hardware compatible with my vamo and sigelei zmax.

My 2013 SS Chi You only came with the stand 350 base/switch tube and the 500 and 650 extensions, plus the extra brass center pin, Mojo badge, springs, and o-ring. No kick tube for me.

Well, I'm going to contact my vendor. I did not get the extra kick tube. I don't use a kick anymore, but it would nice to have. This is what I receive from one of Mojo's vendors.

Yup that's what I have too; the short tube at the bottom is what I am calling the kick tube.

Looks to me that you have everything you need. Use the base tube/switch for an 18350, Add the short tube to kick an 18350 or run an 18490/18500, use the base plus the longer tube to kick an 18490 or run an 18650, or add both tubes to kick an 18650.

Mix and match the different top cap screws to take up any variances...

Okay, that's the 18500 extension tube, which is added to the base 18350 assembly to use an 18490 battery.

Well whatever you want to call it, between the 3 tubes that come with the chiyou, I can use it with standard 18650 or 18350, with or without kick installed, and not be concerned with the odd sizes like 18500 and 18490. 18xxx batteries aren't a common item where I live.
