I checked out the link of those pics of that's guys battery and it wasn't as bad as that. I'm thinking it was just scoffed up. Pretty much wasted a brand new wrap on it, but I didn't want to take any chances. There was nothing under the wrap on the battery casing, so it was fine. and no battery casing was exposed. It was just a pain peeling the wrap off, since it was pretty much brand new, and I had nothing to grab on, like a tear in the wrap to start it off. Better to be safe than sorry though! Thanks for the reply jgreck!

Gotcha. I never could figure out what really caused the burn-like marks on my wraps, but it's been quite awhile with the same pair and they've still been holding up just fine. I'm going to hold to the idea that it was condensation under the wraps but one can never be too sure. When in doubt, rewrap. It's a good thing wraps are so cheap
Funny right guys? when you WANT a wrap to tear ( when going to replace it) it's hard as hell to rip and get it off, but when you don't it seems to tear so easily, be it in a mod or charger. My PILA charger should be here today though. YAY! no more battery sleds to deal with.
Man, ain't that the truth  the way I do it is just pick the wrap with my nails until it's sticking straight up just enough for me to cut it with a scissor; from there, it's a lot easier. Lucky that my mod doesn't cause a lot of tears. Those batteries have gone through a ton of cycles with no real damage to them whatsoever :D
