So I have two married samsung 25rs and 4 sony vtcs, wanted to try out some new batteries, I had some efests before but they where not good at all, i saw this website imrbatteries.com saying they sell aunthetics, can anyone confirm this?and I also saw they had imrens 18650 40a batteries the ones with the purple wrapper, hard to believe but any tests on these yet?

To the best of my knowledge there are no 40A batteries on the market. Which vtcs do you have? The vtc4 or the vtc5? The vtc4 and the samsung 25 are among the best available these days. Just wondering why you want to change it up?

The 2100 mah vtc4s 30a great batteries but if they ever do make 40a continous batteries I mean thatcwould be awesome, i usually use the samsungs on my smpl and the sonys on my cherry bomber, cherry bomber at 0.14 ohms, and the smpl at .26ohms, they're great batteries but just wondering if someday lol they might make 40a continous. Kind of want to go lower than .26ohms on the smpls samsungs get a bit hot after some use had them at 0.19ohms for a while on the smpl sonys run good but they're for my box mod, and a 40a cell well if their ever is one would be great on my smpl.

It might happen, but its unlikely. The most trusted batteries that we use are actually fabricated for other purposes. We use them for vaping but thats not why they're made. With pending legislation and controversy surrounding vaping these days i doubt sony, samsung, LG, or panasonic are going to be overly excited about spending a ton of money to design a 40A battery for vapers to use in their mechs.

You're not going to do much better than 25R's in the 20A range. If you're using VTC4's, they're about the best overall for the 20A-30A range. If you're using VTC5's, they're only rated for 20A.
The best high amp batteries (in my testing) are the true 30A LG HB6 (a low capacity cell though), the VTC4, LG HD2, and the 25R. There are no 18650 cells with a genuine continuous rating above 30A.
IMRBatteries is legit and sells authentic batteries.
They can do a 40A 18650 battery but the capacity would be very low or it would be very expensive...or both.
You've pretty much heard the story. What you've got is about the best available at something resembling a reasonable price. They could build better, maybe, but the trade off is current capacity for watt-hour capacity. Either can be had, but you don't get both without getting expensive. In any event, let me welcome you to the board.

Please stick with what you have, if you really want to try another brand for whatever reason, LG HE4 batteries are a solid pick. However do not trust any of these high amperage "cloud-chasing" batteries. Stay safe.
