I have 2 18650 batteries that I have been using with my Kanger KBOX 40W Mod.

I have been very careful about watching/monitoring my batteries when they are charging. I have an Intellicharger i2 but I started charging an ( IMR 40 AMP 2300 MAh 18650 From Vamped) but I was dead tired and forgot about it and it charged for 18+ Hours (I know i'm dumb).

There does not seem to be any visual damage to it, no venting or the wrap shows to sign of stretching or damage.

Is this still safe to use? or should I get a new one.

Thanks guys, I know it was incredibly irresponsible of me to leave it charging that long, I was on the fence whether I should start to charge it because I had a feeling I was going to be hitting the hay soon. In the future I plan on using better judgement when charging and handling the batteries.

All Li-ion battery chargers have a circuit that stops the charge automatically when it's done. That circuit can fail and if that happens the battery will eventually get too hot and vent. That's why I don't leave mine on the charger for that long, or charge when I'm not here and awake.

You're good to go. Vape on :)

According to NITECORE's web site the I2 automatically stops charging when complete. Since any electronic or electrical equipment can fail, it is suggested that you not allow them to charge unless you monitor their status.

Look under FEATURES on their web page: NITECORE

I have been using the AW AMR 1600mah 18650's for the last 5 years and they have always stayed on the charger 24/7 without issue. I don't worry about my phone or laptop staying plugged in and I don't worry about the batteries for my mod.

Seriously wishing you continued good luck with that.

I wouldnt make it a habit but Ive fallen asleep plenty of times with mine on both my Nitecore D2 and my Xtar MC2 and theyre all fine. Dont really use the Nitecore anymore though (even though it was supposed to be my 'upgrade' to the Xtar hehe).. My batteries are all LG HE2/4s and Samsung 25rs, but I WONT charge my Efest 18350s late at night cause those I dont trust haha.

Ya I quit using the nitecore i4 a while back. It would glitch and drain my batteries dead. Put one in my reo and went to fire it and absolutely nothing happened. Scariest battery experience I've ever had. I'm using the xtar vp4 now and couldn't be happier. I charge everything at 0.25 amps, it's selectable. In a pinch, I can zip charge two 18650s at 1 amp each, but I have 5 batteries so it doesn't happen frequently
