Sounds odd after I type it.

But, my new to me 18650 is leaking. I had it sent to Rob for a once over and magnet replacement.

I need some trouble shooting tips on determining where it is leaking from.

I left for a trip for work and I came back and the inside is full of juice.

I don't see and juice on the bottle or the tube. It seems to have ran down the door and pooled at the bottom of the mod. Could the catch cup be leaking?

I get this occasionally too. Usually it is...
1- I am using a bottle that was not from REOSmods and the threads are a little different.
2- The o-ring in the juice bottle cap has become unseated
3- The bottle wasn't screwed on tight enough
4- I've busted a hole in the tubing
5- the tubing is touching the bottom or side of bottle, forcing the juice to come out at the weakest point (the threads in the bottle)
6- the feeder has become clogged up with sugar (my theory) and needs a good wash. With the woodies I use a blunt needle & syringe filled with hot water, stick it in the tube and squirt it out of the catchcup.

Hope that helps!

I squonked and noticed some juice in the top of the cap. That can't be good.

I didn't notice it before because the juice is clear. Hmm seal must be bad. (searching through vape drawer)....

The o-ring in the bottle is a size 70. Available from HD and Lowe's (and possibly Ace Hardware).

OK. Seems the o-ring in the cap slipped up a bit. Probably from shipping. Or from my over tightening.

I reset the 0-ring and now the cap is empty. Lesson learned about clear juice. I didn't notice the cap was full of juice until I squonked a second time and juice ran out of the cap.

Live and learn...

:) Thanks for the help!

Problem #2. Seems new RM2 doesn't seal. Going to have to send it back for machining so that it will seat better in the cup. Juice all the way up to the top of the cup.

I've determined that my communication skills suck.

I can't seem to get across the meaning of what I am trying to say.

I asked for a RM2 to fit the mod in brass. I should have asked for a milled down version in brass to fit the mod.

Oh well. Once again live and learn.

Anyone know of a class I can take? LOL.

CRA* Seems the cup is leaking. Just found a pool of juice inside the mod. Time to clean it up and stick in on a shelf.

It fires. But the position is "wrong" for my preference I like hitting the button with my thumb. The RM2 hole is near the button. It won't tighten down any further because the rm2 and cup are touching.

Ok deep breath... Phew..

:)

Sounds like the juice over filled the cup and ran down. I have had that happen.

Does the RM2 fire? You might be able to use a thicker o-ring and seal the bottom more.

You can use a thicker o-ring on the threads of the cap. That will allow you to position the hole better for you. It should not leak out past that o-ring.

It might be that 2 o-rings get ya going with no leaks!

After everything I did it seems I've figured it out. :(

It was still leaking. Now I know why. Seems there is a hairline crack in the catch cup. I had to get the magnifiers out to see it. But, That is why I'm getting juice inside the compartment. :(

Rob.. I'll be sending an email to you shortly to see what can be done.

Not well known around here, with so many new peeps, but I have a substantial collection of Wood REOs from virtually first run to last. AND I do have some that occasionally and some pretty regularly leak out the bottom of the brass catchcup no matter what juice or juice heater I'm using. It's not enough for me to even consider sending into spa. I just pay attention and wipe when needed. Just wanted to let peeps know it does happen.
