In Singapore, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) are currently prohibited under Secion 16 (1) of the Tobacco (Control of Advertisements and Sale) Act, which is enforced by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA). This legislation prohibits the importation, distribution, sale or offer for sale of any confectionery or other food product or any toy or other article that is designed to resemble a tobacco product or the packaging of which is designed to resemble the packaging commonly associated with tobacco products. HSA takes a serious view on any person who contravenes the law. Those guilty of the offence are liable to a fine of up to $5, 000 upon conviction.

I go to Singapore on business trips every once in a while and I've been worrying about being able to continue my vaping when I go there. Not sure I would bring it in country as how strict they can be. I don't want to end up in a dungeon for the rest of my life over 30 ml of nicotine 'yam-yam'.
Other than that, I love Singapore (no sarcasm), it's my fav city to visit!

Ive been to singapore many times, almost went to high school there (Angelo chinese) and i gotta say, the government is a little, um, crazy out of their minds. No offense to those who live there, just cant do it.

Im curious, is REAL cigarettes still legal in SG? My friend who goes to school there is a heavy smoker, dont know how that would work... If real cigs are legal and PVs are not, uh...

Just to give you an idea on the sanity of the 'Big Brothers' up there:

At the age of 18, most young man are required to go through National Service.
There, they will be given military training, i.e, How to operate an assult rifle, How to lob a frag 'nade, How to mess up the enemies...ect.

YET,
You're not allowed to watch rated movies in cinemas till you're 21.

How does that sound?

At most you never get to see your pv again and maybe contribute some $ towards building a "finer" city

I'd' be caught for sure because I'd probably go through customs sweating like crazy and looking like a dope smuggler. I'm using CE3's with the hypodermic needle to refill as well. Definitely not going through customs with a bag of syringes and vials of brownish liquid in my bag. I probalby wouldn't get out alive. Is there any effort to legalize e-cigs in Singapore? I'd be happy to pay the tax. If it's still illegal next time I'll just have to break down and analog.

Real cigarette are legal. You need to be 18 and above to buy/smoke. There are a list of public place which you are not allow to smoke, that include your house corridor or lift lobby and etc.

Pv are illegal .

"According to Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan, electronic cigarettes were the industry's attempt to attract new users and were marketed to appeal to younger customers, including women."
