I am glad to have found this site. I have been smoking for 24 years. 1 pack of Malboro reds per day since I was 13. Twice that if I am out with friends:blush:. I bought a junk (EXPENSIVE) mall e-cig over a year ago and was completely unimpressed with that garbage. Huge waste of $140. I tried a friends TW Tornado a while back and thought about converting again since it was so amazing. I have tried to quit with everything including Chantix, Welbutrin, patches, gum, and cold turkey many times over the years and failed with my longest quit time being 6 months. I was starting to think I was doomed! 3 weeks ago I received my new TW Tornado tank system and 30 pre-filled catridges. I am down to only one or two cigs a day with none today at all. I have also ordered and am trying other juices. I was initially turned off by vaping because it just seemed too complicated to start. Now that they have the Tank (which is super easy to use for me, and no mess) I love vaping. I got my husband one and 5 or 6 of my facebook friends have ordered them as well based on my sucess. I even went with my friend and had beers and just puffed away on my Tornado without lighting up! She was smoking away and wants a Tornado also. I will admit a few people look at me wierd but most say how awesome it is. This has been my easiest quit by FAR. I really enjoy this. I will be totally off of Marlboros this week without a doubt. I did freak out a little in the morning when I didn't have a smoke to start that day. That is the hardest one to give up for me by a long way. I have been doing a lot of reading here so I thought I would join and post. This is a fount of information and I have been spending a lot of time reading. Wish me luck, although honestly I think this is a sure win for me. I love the food/sweet flavors because they are helping me not to stuff my face like I do when I usually quit, so that is another benifit!

I know what you mean....with all these wonderful flavors out there I really don't have much of a desire to "have more than 1 serving of chocolate chip cookies" - and realize that a serving equals 2 small cookies.

Welcome Lisa_M! ECF is a fantastic place to meet some of the absolute best people! I've had so much fun around here meeting and swapping stories that I'll never leave.
Met with a cat screen name Viral last night out at a bar. We had over 60 juices 10 or so different mods all over the table, lol! It was awesome! :vapor::vapor:
Check out if there is a local group near you and see if you can find there meeting place, it's the BEST place to find new stuff, mods, juices, accessories etc. to try out without needing to drop loads of cash on devices without being sure if it's for you.

Once again, WELCOME!:toast::banana:

You just can't believe it, right? I love to hear the newb stories. We have all been right where you are now. Welcome, Welcome! It will get better every day. ECF is a great resource for informatiom. I don't believe there is a question you can ask that someone will not be able to have an answer for you.

G'day All,

Lisa_M! my stories a bit like yours. I smoked for about 17 years though I was a late starter, took it up at 32.
What a fool!!! My Grandad died in his 50's of Emphysema from smoking and I could tell I was headed the same way. I bought my first ecig in January and haven't smoked a real smoke since. I feel much better. Heaps more energy.

My first device was from elusion a small cigarette looking thingy with orange light on the end. Battery life was hopeless and Cartomizers not refillable.
I knew right away vapeing was for me but if I was to stay with it I had to find a better device. My next was the tornado tank it's great and I still use it daily but that's when I discovered a new addiction.
I have gone "mildly mod mad". I now have what I suspect is the start of a collection :) and unfortunately my taste is not cheap :blush: but hey it's fun and at least I know I will live longer to enjoy my new hobby.

All the best.

Dave...
