So happy to be posting on the forum that has helped me in every way possible on my quest to quit analogs!

I have been off the stinkies for 42 days and I couldn't be happier. Went from your standard e-go to a zmax mini/nautilus mini a few weeks ago and I am LOVING it.
Already contemplating the move to RDAs and mech mods though :vapor: Any advice? I've already tried tons of juices, and have spent a lot in my short vaping career, so I'd like to keep it simple and cheap for now (clones?). I figure I can splurge in a month or 2 on some authentic gear, if I like dripping (once my vapemate tells me so!) :p

(disclaimer: this is for me and my wife )

Thanks!

P.S. LOVE the look of copper/brass/accented mods, if that helps!!

I've only been into this a little longer than you. I have my reservations on mechs, seems the regulated mods have come far enough in the power department to satisfy most if not all atomizer types. They also have the added bonus of not being able to be overtaxed and cause huge problems. I am thinking about one of the 100W plus regulated mods. I would rather run something at less than full capacity safely, than to push the envelope with a mech. Just my opinion and how I am leaning.

Haha Hey headcheese...

I seem to be in a similar position, I had a vaporx ego kit starting out, and quickly moved to a 1300mah model with a protank, I got gifted an RBA and tiny RDA awhile back but my little battery cant power it, I just ordered some Mods I'm eager to try out, the Maraxus Mod would seem right up your alley, I really enjoy the taste and vapor production i'm able to get with my little RDA on a bigger battery, honestly there are a few good protanks but the rebuildables seem to hands down give you the best vapor and flavour possible, any mod with variable volts and a 18650 battery should keep you going for awhile, and get a cheap RDA like an omega or tugboat to see if you like it, they are a really good bang for your buck, and if your looking at an RBA, i'd either try the kayfun 3.1/russian 91% or an Orchid, good luck!

Welcome aboard. Just wondering though why you estimate it costs you $77 a week to vape? I think it costs me about one tenth of that. Are you averaging in the cost of your mods / tanks?

Thanks vaperature!

The app takes into account every purchase I have ever made for my wife and I, continually dividing it by the time that we've been vaping, to arrive at that number. As long as we don't spend money, the cost per week of vaping goes down (it's already down 5 cents since I posted )

I believe we are in the same position, because many of your suggestions are things I'm considering.

Thanks!

Welcome to ECF and congrats to you and your wife. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. If you're really looking to save $$, DIY juice is the way to go. There's a bit of a learning curve but well worth the effort.

It's something I am definitely interested in, but for now, it's the last thing on my vaping bucket list!

Hey there headcheese (great name btw).

So you're ready to make the step up to mechs and RDA's, huh? Nice. Before you begin, it's worth it to start researching battery safety, ohm's law, and all that good stuff which so many other newbies seem to ignore. Understand the limitations of batteries, and prepare yourself from experimentation. It took me a good amount of time before I started building coils that really fit my vaping style.

For places to shop, KidneyPuncher always gets a vote from me. They have fairly priced stuff, and it's all QC'd (quality control'd) meaning you're FAR less likely to get a crap device from them than from, say.. FT. Also they offer returns on most purchases, which is fair.

Not sure what your budget is like, but if you want an all-in-one type deal, the Valkyrie Hybrid is a pretty good choice (and it's on a crazy sale right now, $140). As a hybrid, it comes with an RDA designed specifically for this mod. The downside to this is that you can't use an RDA of your choice (if that's what you want to do). On the positive side though, it looks really nice straight out of the box (no need to mix and match), and from what I've heard it really performs well. It runs on an 18650 battery which, depending on your build, should last you a decent bit of vaping. For me, at a .3 ohm coil, 2x 18650's (1 primary, and 1 backup) can last me an 8 hour workday.

Another good option would be the Magneto II (there is also a brass option). I can't speak for the second version, but I have the first version, and it remains my go-to "beater" mod. If I'm going somewhere that I might get too sloppy/lose my mod, I bring the Magneto. It's cheap, it's SUPER reliable (not a lot of moving parts means not a lot to go wrong), and it doesn't look half bad. Since it's not a hybrid, like the Valkyrie, you're able to put any RDA or tank on top of it. Additionally, it's a telescoping mod, so you can fit any style battery in there (18350, 18490, 18650..) which makes switching from a RTA to an RDA very possible, and quite easy.

In terms of RDA choice, I highly recommend the Doge RDA. They just recently came out with the "Doge X", which is a variation on the original Doge. The only issue with ordering from Congrevape is that it's a kickstarter-style site. You need to wait till the end of the month before they start shipping. I have a written review for the Doge RDA in my Blog Posts.

So if you're not looking for that, my next best recommendation would be the Infinite Tobh Clone. I own 2 of these, and both of them get a fair bit of use. Very spacious deck makes building easy, airflow is pretty great, but my favorite part is the fact that it has a driptip-topcap. So when you go to drip, rather than pulling off the entire topcap, you can just pull the driptip-topcap part. If you started off on a Tobh-style atomizer, you won't realize it, but it makes dripping SOOO much easier compared to a Nimbus or Igo-style topcap situation.

Anyway, I think I've given you a couple things to think about. Let me know if you need any help with purchasing decisions!

Oh yes the weekly cost will most definitely go down. Once you're set with your hardware the only expense is the juice which is miniscule compared to stinkies. Over the last year I've purchased over ten pvs, have five batteries including two mvps, have tons of juice and other knick knacks and I doubt I've spent more than $400, that's less than $10 a week average

hello i am new and i dont know how to post , i am also having issues with ecf a verified suppler that doesnt respond to my messages or answer the phone. i ordered from them over a week ago and they still have not shipped my products out. the name of the supplier is Edan Mist. can you help with this?

Unfortunately I've never ordered from them, and I haven't seen them posting around, so I can't really help you out on that front.

Just looking at the site though, it says they have "1-3 processing days" -- some e-juice vendors have to take some time to make a new batch of various e-liquids. Sometimes it'll take a little longer because they haven't pre-prepared bottles to be shipped. Among other things, yesterday was Veteran's day, so mail didn't move, and they may have been out of their office.

I'd say you should keep trying to contact the vendor. My ITCVapes order took ~3 days to "process" (it just got shipped today, I ordered it on Monday), but if Friday came around and I still didn't have an order confirmation/shipping info, I'd consider contacting the vendor. Sorry I can't help you more.

Alternatively, some shipping methods don't give out tracking/shipping info at all.
