1st timer with a couple of questions

Hello all,
I bought my first e-cig the EM-Riva ego. I've watched lots of videos on this but trying it out the first time for yourself is a little different. First off when I push the button do I hold that while drawing air in or just push and let go or what? The directions say to hold it no more than 5 seconds to prevent over heating, but in all the video's I've watched people seem to draw long and slow on it.
My other question, Is the e-cig silent when being used---should you hear any noise like when the atty turns on? Or is any noise an indication that I've flooded the atty?

You've probably already figured these out by now. Hold the button. Screw the directions, and hold it for as long as you can take a draw. Secondly, the sound you hear from the atomizer is a good thing. That means its doing its job. Enjoy.

I have some atty's that are silent, and some that are not. If you hear it gurgle-you flooded it.

Re manual batteries - the atty is heating/hot while the button is pressed.
You can press the button to get it started making vapor, 1/2-1 second later start your draw while still holding down the button, then about 1 second before you stop drawing let up the button and draw that one more second to get the rest fo the vapor out.

So it's like you shift the press-release earlier in time than your draw.
press (1/2 to 1 second), start draw and draw for seconds....release..complete draw to get the rest of the vapor out

Does that make sense?
