Need help from former MFS (MyFreedomSmokes) customers
Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

1st vap and it was harsh, am I missing something?

I'm guessing the dual coil is low resistance and your fixed 1000mah battery is overpowering it. vaping can be really smooth (much more so than cigarettes) like a good pipe with fine tobacco. Don't give up.
I had the same problem at first. I thought I was doing it wrong but i cut down the nic to 12mg (chain vaping) and it seems that it takes some time to get used to it. It was really harsh but now I can't get enough vapor 
I find the first few vapes of the day are pretty harsh. I can't really take full drags initially, but it's not as bad as it used to be. By the end of the day, I'm slowly emitting huge plumes with no issue. You should get used to it pretty quickly.
But there are a few things you can do to reduce the throat hit. You can get a slightly higher-resitance carto for a cooler (albeit weaker) vape. Or you could try a bottom feeder like the kanger T3 (the coil is located at the bottom, so the vapor has time to cool before it reaches your mouth and they already have a cooler vape to begin with because they are also higher resistance than I'm guessing your DC is.)
The best thing you can do is change your juices. Up the VG percentage a little and drop the nic to 12mg. PG and nicotine are what give you most of that throat hit. VG gives you the smooth, thick vapor. Too much VG may not work too well with that setup (though otoh if it's putting out harsh vapor, it may be hot enough to vape high-vg juice w/o clogging,) so 70/30 or 65/35 would probably be about as low as you'd want to go. 60/40 could be too much.

If you eGo 1000mah is not a Twist or spinner, then the voltage is fixed at around 3.6 or so. A 2.0 ohm carto should vape at around 6.5 watts. that should not be too harsh. If it is a 1.5 ohm carto the wattage jumps up to 8.6. That might be a bit harsh.
You could go to Walmart and get a small bottle of VG. Add a couple drops to your e-liquid and that will smooth it out some.
Does the throat hit make you dry cough or make your throat feel raw?....lungs feel sort of heavy? It could be the PG too. Folks can be sensitive to it (or to VG). You may want to go to a drugstore and buy some glycerin (VG) (might be in the first aid section or the moisturizer section) and vape a little of it on its own to see if you get the same reaction. Nic level can create harshness also though 18 mg isn't unreasonable if you smoked a pack a day by any means. And rotku is correct about the wattage. I'd suggest a 2.2 to 2.4 ohms personally.
Ah, well with that being the case, the vg will help and you can even be a little generous with it. But when it comes down to it, 1.5 ohms too low for your battery's voltage. You want at least 2. It's a pretty high-powered vape you've got going there. I don't think many like it quite that hot with juice like that. And not only is it going to increase the strain on battery and atomizer alike, but the vape is definitely gonna be a little harsh.It is a 1.5 ohm carto... I'll try adding the VG. My lungs still hurt
Ok...going to up the VG, lower the nicotine and try a different carto...thanks everyone for your input.
!.5 ohms is too low for a standard battery. I had the same problem with my Kanger Tabac, it had a 1.8 ohm atty and gave me the worst dry hits. I switched to 2.5 ohms and its now vapping nice and smooth.

I took a hit then inhaled. Kind of let it stay in my mouth for a second.
You don't want to lower nicotine too much or you still may have cravings. A couple drops of VG might smooth it out some and lower the nicotine slightly.
