Calling all Vet's experienced with the "Chobra's",
I've been following this website for some time, never really posted or anything, but it has come down to the time where I must ask seeing how my question has not been answered anywhere that I could find.
I have a couple of 2.5ml Mini Cobra Copies, The Mini "Chobras" where purchased from fast tech, I'm still new to RBA's, and heard they where listed as some of the best to start with and I have some technical skills, so I thought it was a good idea, and so far so good, I have rebuilt both of them quite nicely, but I noticed that the tank on one is cracked after such fiddling, I know that they are not very strong, (polycarbonate), I knew this was already an issue from other users here, my question is this,
I know IBTanked sells Pyrex tubes, which I really really want to get, but...the 3.0ml cobras top shelf unscrews in order to accommodate a new tube, I cannot for the life of me figure out whether this is possible with the Mini DID version, and seeing how I don't want to break my new tank that took 2 weeks to get here any worse then it already is without having a backup readily for use, maybe somebody else would know if this is possible or not.
I know people have modded the wick holes, the air holes, and the cap threads, (which surprisingly was already fixed by fast tech because mine came with rubber O rings under the cap,) but no one seems to have tried a Pyrex tank replacement for this tank specifically, the 3.0ml have been done numerously, this one doesn't seem to have much detail, I found one post on another site, but it turned into a post about terminology and never answered the OP's question so to get started...
Here are some pictures so you can see what I'm saying..

4th image is the 3.0ml Cobra Copy Top Shelf

Just for details sake I'm using these both on 1300mAh Vision Spinners, one with more fruit flavored juices, another with a darker Coffee, which is irrelevant to my question, but just so you have it.
As you can see the top shelf is a little different in which the 3.0ml tank the Pyrex just seems to slide over the O-Rings and into place, my 2.5ml tank has the shelf sitting on top of the tube, and again I'm not sure of it's disassembling capabilities, and I can't tell if it unscrews or not in order for a replacement tube. I really want to know if this is possible or not. So if it is possible to unscrew my question would be answered, considering I would just need to buy the appropriate size of Pyrex, if not, what solutions could I possibly take, Could I buy an over sized tank, and bigger O-Rings and it would just bulge from the sides a little, or maybe buy a different material that would accommodate strength, durability, and translucence. Or, am I stuck with the only other option of buying the real cobra, which I would like, but not at that price tag. I'm a college student, not much money to throw around. I'm just starting to really enjoy my RBA and now I have run into a bit of a snag. Can someone shed some light on this problem for me?
I really would appreciate any help from someone who has worked with these tanks and has some experience in this matter first hand, or has already attempted said mod, and either failed, or succeeded.
Thanks ahead, and sorry for the long post, it said to be specific, so I was.
