Is the length of the coil wire what determains the resistance? My local vape shop sold me an atty he called "the bullet" I completely fried the first two coils trying to experiment with wattage and voltage combos. The first two coils read a steady 2.8ohms. I just replaced the coil and its jumping between 4.2 - 4.5 it came from the same batch of coils as the previous two. I bought this because I saw videos of people blowing monster clouds and im having no luck. Very disapointed, could I be doing something wrong? I followed the ohm, voltage chart I found on here to figure my wattage. Just to be sure im reading it right what should my wattage and voltage on a segelei z max be set at for a bridgeless atty if the resistance is 2.8? Sorry for the rant butI'd like to be blowing clouds of tasty vapes too. Thanks all.

You've got a lot to learn if you haven't done any real research into rebuildables. These are not plug-N-play ready out of the box gadgets like other juice delivery attachments. You have to know what you are doing.

To help get you started, I've written a beginner's resource guide to RBA's. There's a lot of info there, but you need to know it to be safe and successful with using an RBA.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-tips-vapors-looking-try-their-first-rba.html

With so many RBA's and RDA's on the market, I'm not familiar with the Bullet.

Are you using stainless steel mesh or silica for your wick? Did you prime the wick with juice before vaping on it?

What gauge wire are you using for your coils? How many wraps? Did you oxidize the coils and check for hot spots before vaping on it?

What batteries are you using in your ZMax?

If this is a Genesis-style RBA, you will need to tilt your device horizontal to allow the tank to keep the wick wet, only occassionally will the wick have enough juice to not require the tilt.

Typical problems involve not getting the coil properly attached. Is the screw tightened properly? Is the wire being held by the screw properly? The jumping resistance number hints of an improper electrical connection. A proper connection would be a steady value. A loose connection would be one value sometimes, and a different value other times.

Yea these coil came pre wound on the wick. Im using a 18650 and yes I do have a lot to learn that's why im glad I found this site. Im about to check out your tutorial. I probably should slow down abit but im obsessed. Its almost like math im trying to do algebra without knowing addition subtraction division and multiplication. That's what I neededto hear, thanks. Im going too far too fast I really need to learn the basics. TThat's actually the best advice I've gotten so far. And yea I primed it maybe ill just stick with my carto and clearo for now and research the atty before I end up frying my mod.

Good to hear and wise decisions on your part. These are meant to be for more advanced vapors. The people you watch in those videos are experienced experts and know what they are doing. Don't expect similar results yourself with your first attempts. The more builds that you do, the more experienced and skilled that you will become, with progressively satisfying results. But don't go too fast, too soon.
