So, I got my first 30ML Hypnotic Mist in November. It was a pink liquid in a clear bottle. I just received my second bottle, this time it is a clear liquid in a clear bottle.

So, what changed? I would have thought it had something to do with steeping but, David makes juices to order. Did FlavArt change the color of one of the flavorings?

I haven't tried it yet and an sure that it should taste the same. Just curious.

It should taste the time. Hypnotic Mist has changed color recently, and I suspect the reason why is because Hypnotic Mist has recently joined the crew of diacetyl-free flavors from FlavourArt.

All flavors are being tested extensively to ensure they still taste the same. And we have not noticed any complaints about changes in tastes - however, changes in color have been popping up occasionally.

This is just my guess, as this is all that has changed - and we have noticed the color change in Hypnotic Mist as well.

Obviously, if it doesn't taste right do let us know. :)

Just to let you guys know, I ordered a 60ml bottle of Hypnotic Mist and it's been steeping since 1/10/11. It is still clear and the flavor just isn't the same as before the removal of diacetyl. The flavor doesn't seem as complex as before. It seems kind of "flat".

I ordered it in the same nic strength and pg/vg ratio as always. I even tried it out on a new Boge cartomizer, to see if that would help. I have an old bottle with 2mls left in it, so I dropped that in the same cart and could tell a difference.
I think people will still like it but the flavor just doesn't have the same sparkle as before.

For some good news, I love-love-love the Lemon Pound Cake and the Lemon Square.

I may have had my first hypnotic mist at 2x but, I can't recall. David doesn't label that on the bottles. I may do another order at 2x and see if that changes things. In the meantime, I will steep this one and see if that does the trick. It is too powerful a juice for David to release if it wasn't the same.

It is hard to tell when one bottle is already 3 months old. But, I do remember loving it right out of the bottle the first time I tried it. This time, the flavor isn't as pronounced. Much lighter. It may be that the first one was ordered at 2x. I just can't remember. I've only selected that twice. At least that is my thought. It was ordered around the same time as my 2x Tootsie Roll. I didn't like the way Tootsie Roll tasted at 2x and stopped selecting it after that.

I did realize that this bottle is 70/30 and the original was 80/20. Not sure how much that matters. I will let you know once the new bottle comes at 2x.

I personally do my flavors at their original inception. 1x and 2x I don't do. I create them to be perfect from when they were born. you all are overstating things with the heavy flavors in my opinion...
open the bottle, let it breathe for days and blend if you feel the need for heavy flavor. just good advice...

Everyone's sensory perceptions vary. I find that I need extra flavor to be able to taste it. In fact, what is perfect to you may taste the same to me at extra flavor. I have an extremely keen sense of smell, but apparently that doesn't translate to my sense of taste. So I am glad that you offer the option of extra flavor.

I couldn't agree more tgcrna...everyone's "perfect" is different. Who decides what perfect is? Perfect to me is extra flavor, might not be to someone else and I accept that. Thank you for offering the extra flavor option...

Does anyone know if FlavorArt has updated their list of diacetyl containing flavors. I saw a list on here awhile back but nothing recently.

On another note...Lemon Pound Cake does sound scrumptious.

Here you go...............

Diacetile - Flavourart. La sartoria degli aromi

You will notice that Butter has the most and all of the others are so minute that I am not concerned with them at all.

I didn't mean to flagellate a deceased equine with that question. LOL.

I'm not too concerned either but sometimes I let the paranoia get to me and I forgo logic sometimes.
