2 Questions

Hi everyone!

Hoping you've all been having a fabulous weekend!!!

Again, I can't thank you all enough for your all helpin me learn about V4L, forum rules and etc.. Unfortunately, I'm not there and hope I'm not wearing anyone out!

First, I have to say again, how outstanding the customer service is. Bornagainst is going to help me replace my one dudded out battery that fell asleep in my 1st (kit) purchase and did not fully wake up. I'll keep you posted on that also since I think I might be getting the hang of ordering, so I'm learning and it's all good! w/o this type of support from everyone...well, thanks!


I have two questions today, for a change, lol!


For anyone in CA:

1) If you've taste tested a carto and don't have the same flav e-juice to refill it or would just get the 5 packs over the e-juice/when you are finished with a carto, what are y'all doing with them? Do you throw them out or are they supposed to be recycled (if recycled, call me ignorant, but I'm totally clueless about this, given they aren't soda bottles where you would take them/mail them to get recycled and/or how to clean them 1st)

For those w/ PT's and batteries

2) Does your PT seem to give you better vapor than your batteries do and/or are there some flavs, as I was reading, that V4L is upgrading that don't work as well w/ the new style/design of batteries. Or am I just crazy and it's my dudded out battery....Do you notice a difference between the two? (just trying to get a feel for what to expect from a stable battery- I haven't shut off my computer for 3 days now and hope I'm not wrecking the PT--still trying to locate PT care instruction, also)

You can refill cartos many times with whatever juice you want. I have some going on 4 months old. When the vapor production goes down or they start tasting bad I put them in a container. When I get enough in it I wash and dry them and start the cycle over.

Passthroughs just make it so you can save your batteries unless you get a 5volt passthrough. They seem to make better flavor but definitely better vapor.

I don't live in CA, but I clean & reuse all my carts until they don't work well. Then they do get tossed in the trash. I use far more cartos that I fill myself than prefilled. I have some carts that have been used 30+ times. Look for videos on cleaning carts as there are several methods. Boiling, just rinsing, soaking in grain alcohol or vodka. The more you can reuse, the cheaper this can be for you & the less that goes in the trash.

The PT will give more vapor because it runs at 5 volts rather the 3.7 the batteries provide. I feel like the PT burns thru my cartos too fast and I'm not as happy with the flavor. That's just my opinion & some others really like the PT vape.

Glad you're having such a great experience! I remember how overwhelming it all seemed when I first started. Keep asking questions.

I usually clean them and reuse them. Once I make a cleaning video I will post it here and show everyone. The only thing with my camera is I can't pause the recording that I know of yet. So it will be in two parts.

All the info above I agree with!! It is all accurate!!!

When it comes to cleaning...it is personal preference. Some clean often and some clean when needed. I'm a "when needed" person and here is a link to what I find to be the fastest and easiest way to clean a carto in my opinion. After watching the video: If you have trouble finding a syringe that the gasket fits onto perfectly, use good superglue. If you have trouble finding a gasket...they are still in the OLD SCHOOL cartos that are on supersale right now. The gaskets are found between the white plastic cap and the batting. I'm not on very much so it may take me a few weeks to reply if you need some gaskets.

Many people on that thread had syringes that worked fine for them but I got my perfect syringe for this method of cleaning for less than 3 bucks @: Marinade Injector Syringe Chicken Roast Turkey 5 Min - - Bonanzle
The syringes I had before buying the one above, just didn't work for some reason. The gaskets didn't fit tight enough to superglue even.

I did use superglue to get the gasket attached...and when expelling the liquid through the carto I do need to hold the carto on or it goes flying off into the cup due to the extreme pressure that goes through the carto using this method. I use luke-warm tap water (don't use very warm or hot water using this method) and grain alcohol to clean although you can use vodka. I find the grain cleans ALOT QUICKER... Make sure you flush well with water before setting it to dry. I put mine on top of my cable box or DVD player because they emit a lot of heat and dry the cartos fairly quickly.....before refilling.
