1. For some reason the screw on the bottom switch of my mods have all become loose so that with the locking and unlocking action they become almost undone making the switch wonky. I have to undo the switch every so often to fix it. Is there a way to make them tighter permanently?

2. Some might remember I was having a bit of trouble with some of my batteries being a little too short for my Nemesis. Most of you advised against magnets. Would something like this be OK?

I've the same issue, and i've had it for over 1 year. ^^
I assume you mean the silver plated contact inside the switch needs to be screwed back down after some use?

It's just a part of the nemmy design flaws i'd say. And for magnets, i personally disliked using them. I'vent had any issues with my springs so i prefer those.
And it's a PITA to fix the magnets. :p But the centerpin will screw out with magnets too.

Thanks. It's a yes to the first part of your reply. My second question though is a totally different thing - nothing to do with the centre pin on the switch.. it's that my flat top batteries sometimes give me grief in me Nemesis since they seem to be a tad too short. I though adding something to them, a sort of "spacer" as in the pic would make them fit better. If it's going to mess the conductivity though I'll forget about them.

Flattop should fit perfectly. Have you unscrewed the "beuty ring" ? It's made for kicks/fuses.
If you don't remove it you'll struggle with the flattops. :)

Edit: I googled this picture to show what i mean:

Thanks yes. I tried all configurations and there's a whole thread somewhere about my problem. It works with a number of my batteries but not with all, plus I can never lock it because the switch does not tighten enough in any of the configurations possible. I just wanted to know whether those steel caps would mess up the conductivity.

Hmm this sounds odd, is it a clone? If so from where? (Mine are clones aswell but flawless)
Could you provide a picture? Is it 18650 mode you're using? (which i assumed) Or do you use smaller batteries?
I use sony vtc4 in mine and it fits perfectly, short button throw and locking ring works. So something is realy off it seems.

    Get the FatDaddyVapes pins.

The added length is equal to the height of the beauty ring.
Next place a thin washer under the switch screw, and you will be good to go. The thin washer also reduces the switch throw form 2.5mm down to about 1mm.
Adding ANYTHING to the top of a battery in a mechanical mod is a BAD idea.:danger::evil::danger:

    add:
The nemmie switch has lots of threads to work with, but it's far easier to adjust for a battery that a smidge to long than it is for one that's to short.

The caps you link to appear to be the entire top cap for a battery; not something you simply set on top. They could probably be used, but to do so with any degree of safety you would need to rewrap the battery.

    1. Carefully remove the original wrap
    2. Set one of the caps you link to on the positive end; make sure that it contacts the original cap well
    3. Using some battery shrink wrap tubes from fasttech, apply new heat shrink over the whole battery.

i have shrink wrap coming next week from the UK as it happens. In fact, when that came I wanted to ask you all whether it would be a good idea to wrap all my batteries - or would that make them too thick without removing the original wrap?

Makes me wonder, what batteries do you use currently?

As far as thickness it may be too much for a lot of mods. It's easy to remove the old wrap for rewrapping.

When shrinking, I like using a hair dryer. The shrink wrap is quite thin and tears easily if the heat is too high.

I like having battery shrink wrap tubes around. When using mech mods, it's not uncommon to nick the wrap. Rewrapping is much cheaper than buying a new battery. Mark your rewraps so you know that's what it is in the future.

Well particularly I'm worried about one of the Efests. Their wrapping is very thin and on one of them half of he top circle of the transparent wrap is coming off. The others are Sonys and Samsung and they're all ok - apparently much stronger wrap.

    Then i see you're worry/issue. :)
I thought you wanted to rewrap your current batts to fit in...

Yes efest is kinda "thin" my guess is due they're rewrapped. But you're doing the right thing to rewrapp them then (Y)
A damaged wrap is dangerous in a mech. :)

I still can't wrap my head around that your batteries won't fit the nemmy... Either beauty ring or something is off.
