I received my very first starter kit exactly two weeks ago, and I'm enjoying every moment. I've actually been lurking here a little over two weeks, as I discovered ECF just hours after placing my order.

This whole PV subculture can be very confusing! tanks, cartomizers, mods, ohms, 8-o

I don't think I did too terribly on picking a unit to start with, though I'm still not entirely sure what exactly I have. I bought the vapor king etank (Vapor King eTank™ Electronic Cigarette Kits) and I'm loving it. I'd like to find attys and batteries for it at a cheapers price, but since I don't know exactly what model I have it's all a bit confusing.

I go through about 2 batteries a day, and usually only 2 "tanks" of liquid a day. Not great, but not horrible either.

Of course the best part is that since my first puff I've not thought about another analog. As I type this I'm looking at half a pack of Marlboro menthol lights sitting on my desk right in front of me. It might as well be a box of thumb tacks for all the attention it warrants in my mind!

I've ordered liquid from several vendors and am starting to get a taste of what I like ad what I don't like. I've also been eyeing the eGo and might pick one up soon since I would like to start dripping. I'm not entirely sold on the cartridge with the filling in it though. More research is obviously needed.

I fear I've rambled a great deal here, I'll try to refrain from doing so in the future!

first and foremost welcome to ecf anc congrats on the two week mark
well what trhead does ur vapor king have? im sure you wont need to buy a whole new setup to switch to vaping i had the ego tank sytem turned it into a dripping machine and loved it all it takes is buying an atty that doesnt have the spike wick thing and a drip tip and btw 2 tanks isnt bad at all thats pretty good i get 3-5 mls outta my reo everyday lol

Ya know, I had mentioned to one of my coworkers that I was thinking of trying an ecig, and she told me "Don't waste your money, it's just water vapor and it doesn't work!" I'm glad that I did not listen to her!

I took a walk with my dog last night and to my surprise I was actually able to keep a brisk pace for quite a long while. I don't remember when the last time was that I was not winded by walking even a short distance!

I have absolutely no idea what threading my current unit has, and no idea how to figure that out. It's an auto battery though, which from what I've read, won't work for dripping.

LPacker79, Welcome to ECF! Your post is very inspiring. Ok, you agree that vaping is the better option and you have obviously had good success, so I just want to say WOW and welcome to ECF! My story is similar. I accidentally quit smoking after I discovered e-cigs. And this journey has opened up a whole new world I never new existed.

I honestly enjoyed being a smoker. As smokers, we are in some sort of happy world where we don't stink and everything is right with the world.

In my case, I decided to try an ecig because of various health issues. All of my life I've suffered with bouts of bronchitis (twice yearly when I was young likely due to second hand smoke from mom and stepdad). I started smoking at 19 years of age and the respiratory issues have just gotten worse. It was to the point where I was at the doctor's office every other month for "asthmatic bronchitis." They'd give me 3 or 4 breathing treatments, steroid shots, inhalers, and lectures on smoking. I'd happily chain smoke with my inhaler in hand. How ridiculous and sad I must have looked!

Enough was enough. I'm 32 years of age and I couldn't breathe! The several weeks prior to ordering my VK I think I only had 2 days where I was breathing properly (and yet I continued to smoke).

This is a better way!

I'm in EXACTLY the same boat as you. I just bought my first starter kit and it happens to the the exact same model - the Vapor King e tank. It arrived last friday and I LOVE it. The first e cig was a disposable model from a local company called Green Nicotine here in Tucson. I won't go into details, but it was a really bad experience so I went online and tried to find as much information as I could before I decided where to buy my starter kit. What sold me on the Vapor King e tank was the 5V battery and the refillable tank. I ordered my juice from madvapes and so far so good.

LPacker79, hold onto those juices that you don't like. In time, your tastes will change. Your taste buds need time to heal so please keep in mind that what you like today, you may not like tomorrow.

Pat yourself on the back for sticking to vaping. Next thing you know, you're 6 month anniversary will be here.
